Edit: also the K1 shares a prototype with the M1 which makes the mistaken identity understandable

What is "counter-sloped" armour? I've read in a few places that it works really well against both CE and KE threats.

Main Gun-175mm, 45 tons? unless you're using some special alloy, that armor is going to be thin, plus you better have weight something to take the massive recoil of the gun.

Deneager, *research* :-P With a 45t tank in the 21st century, you're probably looking at one 105-120mm gun and two MGs at most. Wikipedia's fine, just look things up and compare what you have to them.

And don't rate missile defence out of ten on a *tank*! Missile defence is generally accepted to mean something a bit different - unless your tanks can intercept ICBMs, you're talking about APS, and you need to go a little more in-depth than that.

I'd guess it means the sort of thing you find on the Leo 2's spaced armour appliqué, where you have two slopes meeting in the middle so you present the largest body of armour in the middle of the turret rather than at its base. But that's just judging from the word itself - might be best to wait for, say, Sumer to pop along and provide moar info.
