As for the hovertank guy. Seriously man. Just go retro and use the BMD-3 combined with a PT-76. Or make your own modern version. With ATGM's on top they should be perfectly able to outgun and outarmor anything your enemy is likely to deploy in such terrain.
If by the hovertank guy you mean me, I have no idea what most of that meant.

Eight tanks would be a lot, probably too many, due to coordination issues. As the US Army found out during the Cold War with its experiments in the Pentomic division structure, the average commander can only coordinate 2-5 action units; eight becomes too much to manage. IMO, it'd be easier to just split it in half with two four-tank platoons, which is what most real-world armies follow.
I believe though most tank platoons only have crew in them; the British standard is for four tanks with fifteen men and one officer, which means they just have the four crew per tank, and none outside of that, since that means those men either have to walk or drive in more vulnerable vehicles that have to be protected.

I expect he means me. And I do mean a conventional hovercraft, light armour, 105mm gun mostly used for GLATGMs. Probably not going to get it to move its own weight without lolhueg fans beneath, but it was fun to design.

Hovercraft can be pretty damned heavy. The USN LCAC can carry a fully-loaded battle-ready M1 Abrams. I'm sure if you basically turn a Stryker MGS into a slightly bigger hovercraft with a conventional tank turret (and bigger gun) and some additional weapon systems and APS, I'm sure that would be good. Or, considering how dense your nation's vegetation could be, maybe consider an even smaller hovercraft with an AMOS turret.

Samoz, how does Linc generally feel about posting 3D models. Are they allowed in the general threads or would it go under "Prohibited Art"?

Hey. 2 meters of armor can totally work. On a side note, does anyone have any idea how thick the armor on modern tanks is? Especially on the sides and the sides of the turret. I wanted to have only 500mm of side armor and I am not sure if that's enough.

I'm ok with tactical nukes being flung all over the place, but the second theater, intercontinental, or orbital nukes come into play I more or less enter MAD mode.
However, Im glad it's either a) large enough or b) enough of a threat to use orbital weapons on.

That's significantly more than most modern tanks field. It's pretty close to what they have in RHA equivalent.

I don't use orbital nukes. I use kinetic orbital weapons. That's large enough for it to be targeted and wrecked by one of my orbital weapon sats.
