Can you really do that to an armoured vehicle?
I thought enlarging the turret ring would effectively weaken the hull structure.

BMD-3 Hull. The BMD-3 can only carry 4 Personnel, anyways. They can ride Tank-desant with the Sprut. The BMD Family of Vehicles are Air-dropped vehicles for the VDV.

Is 9.3m too long for a WW1 tank? Remembering that I use Mark 1 style tracks so at least 1.8m of that would be the front and rear track overhangs. (wont effect weight that much).

I guess that's a good thing - it was mostly priced outside of availability (at least mine ) anyways.

It sure is a steep price, but each magazine is worth ~$250, to put it into perspective.

It's no less effective at infantry support than it was previously. The decrease in ammunition capacity is immaterial relative to its intended use. The increase in caliber provides it a more powerful HE shell as well. Weight increases were mostly not related to the armament change, either.

But when you take all those things together (more weight, different gun, less ammo, searing heat behind the tank so that you can't stand behind it to take cover, etc.) It's clearly good at what it does, but not as good as it could be at something else if it was designed with that something else in mind.

Personally I believe in converting some IFVs into medium tanks, but that's me.

The difference of ~15 rounds is not that great, especially if the tank crew goes and says "screw regulations," and carries an additional twenty rounds of ammunition underneath flame retardant blankets during exceptional wartime conditions.

Surprisingly NS tanks aren't TOG II-copies, because WWI tanks and the TOG II were designed to traverse a ruined landscape churned up by shell fire and bombs.
Even NS-heavy tanks seem to not take this into consideration....

You should probably talk to Anemos Major about that one. Though, I have heard him say that Dassault HATES being in the fighter aircraft market, and that they don't market their wares NEARLY as much as they should.

What do Dassault want to do, exactly?

Produce business jets. It's a very low risk business that nets them quite a bit of money, as opposed to fighter projects (where the initial investment is *very* high in comparative terms and, as the Rafale shows, returns are far from guaranteed).

From what I understand, you can't put Nozh on top of a turret. You can do that with Kontakt-5 though.

Also its dedicated light-tank/tank destroyer. So I'll have to change that out.
