The Female predated the male tank, as the male (And gender splitting) was an after-thought when it was realized in tests with Little Willie that those enemy machine guns still needs to be blown up.

I know, hence the notation about how screwed up linear time is in this nation's world. A lot of things don't make historic sense and for that, I apologize.

They fit five fellas into the Pkzf III, the Leman russ is none too impressive in that respect. The turret on the other hand is absurdly small, and as most nations learned in WW2, single man turrets are inefficient. The commander is supposed to command, not aim.

Suspension is especially needed in mass wave charges. The Leman russ is also an infantry support tank rather then a breakthrough tank.

Infantry support is integral to armour success in any situation.

And the Baneblade is small.

If you have read Gunheads, which takes place from the point of view of a tank commander fighting the orks for a relic baneblade tank [Ends up fighting a Squiggoth with whats left of the company.]. Now, its actually quite spacious inside, it has to be, for two gunners, a commander a driver all have to fit in there. the gunners double as loaders while the tank commander usually aims the gun. Now when it comes down to it suspension isn't needed when you are fighting in mass wave charges and all that jazz. And infact the WW1 design is actually pretty damn sexy, and Titans aren't tanks, they are considered Dreadnoughts. Now why sponsons, i'll tell you, have you evered faced a crazed ork horde climbing all over tanks? or perhaps frenzied cultists armed with grenades trying to lob a grenade down your hatch, I thought so. Baneblades are about the size of a modern home or two depending on the variant, bristleing with gargantuan guns and a massive grenade launcher. Trust me, I have seen them in action. So *deep breath* any questions?

Gunheads is one of the crappy batch of books the Black Library has commissioned recently. For proper 40k armoured warfare, you should be reading Necropolis and Honour Guard from Dan Abnett, plus the short story found in Imperial Armour 1.

First off, most Russ variant tanks will have five-six crew. The exception to that are those that don't utilise side-sponsons, which end up with four-man crews. The Leman Russ Conqueror is supposed to have an exceedingly well-designed and built suspension in particular.

Now for the nitpicking;

Titans are not 'dreadnoughts'. They are Titans. Baneblades come in a small number of variants, i.e. one, the Baneblade. The others that are based on a similar chassis are different designs. Now one final question. You've seen a Banebalde in action? Do you have strange magic powers that let you go to the Forty-first Millenium?

And on an unrelated note; What do people think is a suitable size of barrel for an ETC? I'm building up towards making one indigenously, but ETC's are something I don't really know much about.

That was pretty much the entire point of the IG in 40k. When you have hundreds of billions of soldiers, quality tends to be a secondary concern. The quote, however, really doesn't apply unless you can produce functionally unlimited quantities or at least enough to overcome quality difference.

Eh, I think the Space Marines would probably win out in the end because there are still loads of them and they aren't just cannon fodder. That would be an epic battle to watch, though, especially given the fact that they couldn't fit it on one planet.

I think the IG probably has at least 10 vehicles for every Space Marine. If the Space Marines were that much better they would replace the IG outright instead of acting more like a strike force than an outright army. Anyway, anyone want to make a Warhammer 40K thread in arts and fiction?

Also never recalled ArmA II as having dogs. This is new news to me.

After a huge overhaul of the military, this is Strathy's latest Main Battle Tank

New image pending...(auto-cad permitting :? )
The Shpaginov DV-93 MkIII Medium Tank

Weight : 52.8 tonnes
Length :7.12 m
Width :3.78 m
Height :4.8 m
Crew :7
Armor :152 mm
Primary armament: 100mm Stewart Kolonov LA 23 Cannon
Secondary armament : 3x Marconni & Heffelwerp 7.62mm Type 74 Machine Guns
Engine Continental Phantom HADE Model 2010 V16 air cooled, turbocharged diesel
Power : 775 hp
Power/weight :14.67 hp/tonne
Operational range: 450 km
Speed Cross Country: 48 kmh-1
Speed on Road: 80.4 kmh-1

This, the newest addition to the Strathan Armoured Corps is one of Strathy's greatest achievements yet. It carries the same main gun as our other tanks but has a better engine, thicker armour and newer sighting and communication equiptment. It has 3 machine guns, on in the front by the driver's hatch, one facing backwards and one on the top. The gun on the top has its own mini turret for protection which is fully rotating. It is still in the prototype stages but will likely see combat by the end of the month as one of our colonies is under attack. Designed to function in a support role as well as on their own, it is hoped this will soon become the main battle tank of Strathy and The CoCN's Spetsnaz brigade.

this might just be me, but I see some components of Lyras' LY9/M22 (I think, I may be wrong with the design number there) in this, such as the turret armor and the tracks.

Yet there are so many tiny details that are copied on this. It appears as if he literally just took the LY9 image and edited a few things to his liking (emphasis on a few), and then changed the coloring.

e: Hell, even the coloring is the same in some areas.
