The M707B Ridgeway Main Battle Tank was developed fifteen years ago as the successor to the aging M706A5 Scorpion MBT. The M707B Ridgeway uses a 60 mW Hydrogen fuel cell. The tank is equipped with an automatic Kedian fire extinguishing system which is activated within 2 milliseconds of a fire outbreak and extinguishes a fire within 100 milliseconds.

The automated turret holds the 120mm auto loading anti-tank gun which has a standard muzzle energy of 150MJ and a reload time of 4 seconds and standard recharge time of 15 seconds. With ammunition separated from the crew compartment by an armored blowout bulkhead crew survivability greatly increases.

The three-man crew is seated in an armored capsule inside the hull of the tank. With supplies and lavatory for 220 hours of combat operations the crew each crewman is linked to the tank’s system by their neural interfaces, as a back up each has 7 LCD screens providing data over the integrated combat network and by exterior high-resolution cameras with light-intensification and infrared sensors, an infrared laser rangefinder, and an integrated Electronic Support Measures array. Millimeter wave radar allows gun engagements on attack helos using airbursting rounds.

The Ridgway can run with a crew of two but in practice three are used, a Commander, Loader and Driver.

No way your shoving 100 rounds in there, there's a discrepancy in your write up (says it uses a 140mm, statblock says 120mm). Additionally, you don't go over a lot of the features of this tank in anyway other than naming them.

Screw PMT stuff like electric reaction army to stop HEAT rounds. Spaced composite armor is efficient with less technobable required.

Doesn't actually work, and has quickly been dropped from development for this reason.

Might as well use fairy dust as armour, it has the same effect.

Actually, it does work-- the UK stuck the stuff on an APC and fired a bunch of RPGs at it, and it stopped every single one.

I've seen the DoD reports, it actually didn't make much difference. Much of the perforation was absorbed by the vehicle's base armour and stand-off for the ELRA panels. The conclusion of every analysis ended with the ELRS giving no added protection. This is why government funding was cut off, quite harshly, in 2007.

You can argue AN, but you're wrong. It doesn't work, and the MoD dropped it like a hot potato because of this, years ago.

Modern KEPs only have marginal drops in penetration at the ranges they're accurate at.

Also, how are KEPs cowardly? Surely the "real man" would in fact be the one firing giant rods of nuclear waste at speeds best described as "hilarious".

IFV was in the works, until my fucking computer got another virus, so i dont have access to what i have started so far.

It was also a BMPT rip with a small troop compartment mainly for Spare Ammo and heavy weapons, might be able to fit 4 dismounts if your lucky.

Everyone else can ride on top or in the APCs following for the most part behind.

IFVs are doctrinally used to support the troops in their fight, while APCs are supposed to be used to ferry said troops around.

Even the US Army, with its lol number of Bradleys, still uses a lot of M113s. (Last number i heard was like 6,000-7,000 Brads vs almost 20,000 M113s of all types)

Actually, mistake, its about a 1.2-3 M113 to M2 Bradley Ratio.


2,000 of the Bradleys in existence arent true IFVs, their Scouting Vehicles.

Something like 4,500 to 6,000.

It really is just a use thing, though, due to doctrine, APCs are generally less armored, and less well armed, to give it greater internal space. See M113 vs M2. M113 carries the same but is significantly lighter than the M2, despite carrying a similar number of dismounts.

As i said, APCs are meant to carry troops from one section of the battlefield to another, while a IFV is mainly meant to carry additional weapons into battle and support said troops with its heavier armament.
