The desk of President Nikolai Beslavaky is famously cluttered; there are two HD LCD monitors connected to a powerful desktop computer, a mass of multicolored manila folders, reports, loose pages, scratch pads, and random bits of information. The obligatory photograph of his wife and children sits on the upper left corner, next to a lamp. Two telephones, an unremarkable black office telephone for day-to-day calls, as well as the red phone for the call. All sorts of office supplies, from gilt pens, to colorful sticky notes are also spread at random across the desk. There is also an antique Kandari ceremonial dagger, which the then-17-year-old Beslavaky obtained during his conscript tour in Kandaristan in the early 1960s while Lolzieristan was under the control of the United Stanian Socialist Region. He uses this as a letter opener.

Right next to his keyboard, mouse, and digital fingerprint scanner (to login to the Presidential computer), he keeps his Stetchkin APS machine pistol within easy reach when at his desk; otherwise, it's in a custom shoulder holster under his suit jacket.

Notably, to the right of his desk is a minibar stocked with the finest alcohols; like most Lolzi diplomats, Beslavaky is an experienced bartender.

He has a gun in a secret compartment of his desk (and although no one should doubt the Emperor's skills with a gun, it's Evan Isaci you should be more afraid of). In the visible drawers, he keeps his cell phone, a phone book full of important numbers, several important files, a small case with reading glasses inside, and his heart medication. ON the desk are many papers, several pens and pencils, a desk phone, a remote control for the TV in his office (the news is ALWAYS on in Isaci's office), and a picture of himself and his girlfriend.

A little known secret: in the same compartment where the gun is, there is a very old photo of himself as a kid, his older sister,and her husband. She and her husband were the victims of murder when he was a child.
