Most nations used in the Final Fantasy franchise are actually various incarnations of our own member nations. Our PSICOM was even starred in one of the more recent games, as a defensive military organization.

Games like Valkyria Chronicles depict the the Stratocratic Empire of Lurkya invading the small nation of Gallia along with the game's own Empire. Then the rest of the Commonwealth jumps in to assist Gallia and the Atlantic Federation.

So yes, our nation mostly stars in fantasy themed video games.

For some reason Glacies keeps getting targeted by "adult" video game makers, because of their silver haired white eyed women.

In most video games, Imota is portrayed as a "sleeping giant": we're introduced as allied to the heroes, do nothing of plot importance until someone really pushes our buttons, curb-stomp the offender, then go back to being in the background, providing the heroes with support. The token Imotan is usually a quiet, badass mercenary (most often a sniper or magic attacker) who claims to only care about the money but grows to like his or her comrades.

In Jolleus, there are no video games (they haven't been invented yet). However, video games of the future would come to depict Jolleus as a society of bloodthirsty knights (which is only partially true). Most games that depict Jolleus would be action/adventure games with a hefty dose of gory graphics. All but a few games show Jolleus in the medieval time period, where royal cataphracts did battle against ogres and giants and explored massive castles and dungeons. To compare to RL video games, think of something similar to the God of War series. These games are, of course, dramatizations; I don't RP a fantasy nation.

Foreign video games usually portray the Lirienans as manipulative conspirators who'd rather deceive other countries into destroying each other before actually sending a single Lirienan man to fight.

But, once or twice, especially in real-time strategy games, we've been portrayed as ambitious expansionists, with huge sea fleets moving semi-peacefully around the seven seas, reluctantly blowing enemy islands up.

Either way, we're always the bad guys :P

It really depends on the nation. In games that are made in socialist nations, we are portrayed as the fearless heroes that pursue conquests against the corrupt, and as the all-prevailing force for global good.
In anti-socialist/communist nations, video games portray us as a nation ran by a single dictator that is brilliant and cunning, but ill tempered. They show our forces sort of as the modern equivalent of the Nazi army in its seemingly invincible reputation, and our over-confidence, and we are usually the antagonists. Not always, some games display our nation as one who will side with anyone who is fighting evil of any sort, which is the most accurate depiction, as we will even fight other communist/socialist nations if they are committing crimes against their own people, or the people of other nations.

Some games picture our servicemen as stern men who are never satisfied, while some picture our soldiers as friendly men that go out of their way to help everyone. Our citizens are always, in all cases, shown to players as plotters who never stop thinking about how they can take a situation and turn it for their benefit, which is not true.

This virtually to the letter. Though there are a handful of games that depict us as "Lords of War" stepping in to help nations with similar ideals of freedom or the games depict us as a fierce people unflinching before the often combined armies of many nations and in even when the last of us die our foe more often then not is doomed anyway.

Generally, a bunch of impoverished violently anti-Communists who are ruled by a dictatorship that tends to change regimes from time to time, switching back and forth between two different dictators who are constantly vying for power.

Of course, we have no idea what exactly 'video games' are, considering we're basically third-world and we're stuck in the mid 1970's.

As far as we know, our nation is portrayed as a dark power who, while viewed as a negative force, is still understood as superior and thus must be appeased rather than fought. We have a habit of knocking out so-called "superpowers" and nations that are viewed as powerful; the Worf Effect comes into play quite often.

The government's never actually looked into foreign video games, because we frankly don't care how we're portrayed in foreign works of fiction. We wouldn't condemn a game if they portrayed us as omnicidal maniacs, nor would we if a game showed us as an emotionally extreme collection of homosexual-laden cruise ships.

Well, at least Federation game developers have had the dignity to include the option to play as a Sidh in most of their products. Analysis of historical software archives seem to show that the Nazis weren't granted the same courtesy back in the old days when games were still controlled with joysticks or keyboard & mouse...

Think of Russia, but populated by 50% whites, and 50% latinos. Now take away any nukes Russia has, and about half of their military equipment. (But twice the infantry)

Now, we're always portrayed as the four ethnic groups within our nation (and military) arguing over petty things during battle. One movie actually depicts a Hienmenian and a Cookic soldier fighting for a canteen in the middle of the desert while being fired upon by the enemy...

We are usually used in place of Islamists or other religious extremists when a game needs a real villian but doesn't want to offend a potential customer or talk about a country currently in a real war. We are also often used in World War II games to add similarly ruthless allies for the Russians when they are portrayed as savage.
Hell, there was one game that depicted us as ruthless and much worse than our enemies. Our enemy were the Nazi SS in that game.

In Post-WWII games, we are often blamed for any nuclear apocalypses that happen. They also tend to have us be the nexus of any international terrorist organization, even when said organization's ideology or methods are completely against our holy laws. Oh, we also tend to be the ones who somehow manage to amass a huge army and conquer Western Europe. I guess after Homefront they decided that North Korea taking over Asia wasn't unrealistic enough, because we don't WANT Western Europe. We want everything east of Germany and north of Mongolia, Kazakhstan, China, Turkey and Greece. Everything not in that area is not our issue.

World War I games usually mention our precursor, the Black Hand, but can't mention us as we were made after World War I.
(We are evil Yugoslavia.)

We usually just let it be, as it doesn't cause any real harm. After all, it is a good thing for the other nations to be terrified of us.
We have noticed that for some reason we are often DEFENDED by those heretical westerners.
We fail to understand the logic behind defending a nation that advocates your extermination.

The Commonwealth is often portrayed as a pompous and arrogant nation that thinks it can do anything other people can do, but better. In most foreign games, the Commonwealth is generally sided with the 'good' guys, but is almost always the nation that needs saving because we massivley underestimated our enemies. These games are viewed as nothing more then attempts to humiliate the Commonwealth.

The Commonwealth has never needed to be saved by savages, from savages.
"I am responsible for myself and my actions; I shall conduct myself honorably, and live a clean and frugal life. I have responsibilities to my fellow citizens. I shall be loyal to them, and humble, because we are elements of a greater whole, and without them I am nothing, I have responsibilities to our society; I shall understand and respect my place in it, defend it, and work to make it prosperous, so that I may receive society's protection, and that we may hand on safety and prosperity to future generations."
