So they are Big Clinking Targets with a Shotgun, an Assault rifle, and a Vietnam era AT Weapon? As well as a pistol that is Over Matched by a .44 Mag? Incindary grenades are used to kill Soviet tanks, or are White Phosphorus (Willy Peat)... SOunds like someone has been playing COD WAY WAY To Much.

The 'Stryker' is the DAO-12.

Heartbeat sensors are ineffective, As the Chaos and energy of a Battle will blot out any effective tiny pulse of a heart beat.

Body Guards are not common place within Kriegs society but should a person of importance request them a squad of Grenadiers would be put at their disposal armed with a Hellgun, Krak and Frag Grenades as well as a Las pistol and Combat Knife/bayonet.

If by bodyguards you mean Federal Protective Service agents then they tend to look like this:

The standard FPS agent is equipped with a pistol and/or submachine gun.

They're the ninjas in the back.

The reason for you not being able to see them is that they're there to protect rather than intimidate. Also, our leader reaaaaally seems to like ninjas.

The Imperial Guards, a largely ceremonial role

Image

For actual protection the Imperial family have a small group of well-trained men in suits. The have no official name but are dubbed 'Gaiscolacht' [Gash-go-lacked] which loosely translates to bodyguard.

Administrator Amarillo Manzano is his own bodyguard. However, a pair of artificially-intelligent escorts do accompany him, his wife, and his adoptive daughter.

The two bodyguards are directly connected to Administrator Manzano's conscience and neural interface via a heavily-encrypted VPN; what they see, he sees.

Due to the fact that Britinthia does not have a psychotic-paranoid leader, nor the need to needlessly show off firepower as well as an effective layered defence system to protect our borders, "bodyguards" as in those who protect the government and royal family, are provided by the police.

Usually armed with only a taser, pepperspray and baton they are an effective deterrent. The Royal family also have their ceremonial guard when on parade.
IF there is a particularly high risk then armed police and snipers may be deployed along with plain-clothes officers from the police and Ministry of Intelligence liaisons.
IF they are going to a warzone then SES/SAS soldiers may be deployed along with Ministry of Intelligence.

The common factor of all of the above is that you will never know they are there, and deployment of more than the local bobby is rare.

If your leader is so hated and feels the need to have robots, ninjas and hordes of cannon fodder as protection then you would be better going on strike for a day and let the other side take a pot-shot at him/her.
I set out to create a nation based on few laws, and common sense. Then I realised people are half wits who will use any excuse to test the boundries, and no boundries would be anarchy. Britinthia now has red tape on a scale never before seen outside of the U.K.

That would be the high guard that serves both as the guardians of the king but also as elite shock troopers that use not only superior training and experience but also various technological gadgets to aid them in the mission they have been assigned.
Image

As for weapons so are they often found fighting with a more decorated version of the KVG than the standard guardsman to show that they are their superiors on the military unit hierarchy.

His/Her Majesty the President is protected by elements of the First Presidential Guard, which, despite their famous ceremonial role guarding important installations, are well-trained veterans. They armed like any normal infantry unit with similar weapons (utilizing the standard XM8 or SG550), but when on parade, tend to use a highly polished Lee-enfield.
When deployed in their guarding capability overseas, they tend to wear plain blue overalls and some kevlar vests, perceiving suits as being misleading, obvious, and impractical.

The Crown is protected by the Royal Guard, heavily trained soldiers and mercanaries funded privately by the Royal Family. Their purpose is to protect the Royal Family, their property and government districts, providing a safe haven from the relative lawlessness of the rest of the Empire. They are equipped with the best weaponry money can buy, but wear the traditional armour of Galladian Knights.

THE VANGUARD

The vanguard are the most loyal men and women handpicked from the millatery forces to defend their president. They are the most deadly force on any battle feald have been known to rout whole armys at the mere rumor of them approaching.
They are like the praetorians of rome as they both guard their leader and fight.

Given the best education, training and equipment money can buy these guard are extreamly difficult to kill and with an avrege IQ of 120 their pretty hard to fool.

Bodyguards are often Crucilandian drones, or Crucilandian nanomachine clouds. Drones are 1-foot spheres that hover around the user and vaporize every single threat in a gamma-ray burst, using surgical strikes to kill everybody. Nanomachine clouds are clouds of flying nanobots that give a mysterious haze around an individual, and can also cloak them, as well as electrically charging themselves, acting as an EM jammer, lightning field, and also a lightning-bolt shooting thundercloud. They are much cheaper to offer and deploy, due to their self-replication ability. (we sometimes let them feast on slaves)
