In the MSA, many citizens are anthros and they are treated like any other sentient beings in the Alliance.

There are three categories of how we treat them.
Allies
Legrians
The Legrians are a race of stronger beings whom the UCE formed an alliance with along with the Garsekans in the Tripartite Pact of 2514. They see humans as unusually intelligent weaklings, seeing as they're all almost ten feet tall and can snap all the bones in your body with no sweat.
Consequently, the UCE respects and fears the Legrians.
Garsekans
The Garsekans treat humanity, according to ancient prophecy, as the gods their religion states we are. In response, we treat them as very pious subordinates and almost equals... because they breathe methane and not oxygen.
Slave species and enemies
Note: Slave species are alien races the UCE and the Garsekans conquered in war, and which the Garsekans personally oversee.
Vell
In 2556, humanity ended the Human-Vell War triumphant and turned them over to the Garsekans as slaves. The Garsekans see the Vell as demons and treat them viciously. Humanity often acts arrogantly and equally inhumanely towards them, often sending them off to UCE colonies to be hunted and slaughtered, and they hate us all.
Gliusor Empire and client races
The Gliusor hated humanity from the beginning, believing we are reckless weakling upstarts, and in response they killed 13 billion UCE residents. As a result, humanity hates their guts and we nearly killed them all in the Human-Gliusor War.
Others
At first contact, the UCE regards aliens warily, a bit haughtily, and curiously. All others belonging to only this category are considered in the same manner.

The vast majority of our population consists of Anthros, Reptilian, Mammalian, and Amphibian (well, Sharks, anyway). Therefore, most Anthros are treated as equals, if viewed differently depending on the Class their species hails from.

beasts were to be treated like the beasts and brutes they are. they held no rights or responsibilities. they are inferior to humans and are a blight upon our glorious nation. recently they have made a protest to be treated equally as humans. so i responded to their protest. if they wanted to be treated like humans, i would treat them like humans. all of the protesters were arrested and indicted with sedition. the punishment: death. and as they demanded to be treated as humans, there first interaction as an equal to human made them a hostility because there first interaction was a riot. now they have all been branded public enemies and terrorists and are to be executed after their trial with a secret tribunal for such acts, then executed in a tortuous, cruel, degrading, inhumane manner. as they wanted to be treated as humans they were, normally they would have been shot in the head, but this is what they demanded and that is what i obliged.

The only Anthros in Costa de Oro we know of are the ones in those cartoons children enjoy watching and reading about. Any actual Anthros would be arrested for being possible Communist spies and subversives, or for being possible agents of that tyrant Tapioca.

TurtleShroom boasts a colossal population of turtles and mushrooms with human-level intelligence and reasoning. While they don't have a soul, they have shown the capacity to understand and accept religions- like Christianity -into their lives.

However, the turtles are not very human beyond their intelligence/sapience/sentience. The turtles crawl on all fours, hide in their shells, and use their mouths to grab things.

The mushrooms are more paranormal or off-the-wall. They have no hands, feet, or innards, only expressive eyes and a mouth that have no real purpose beyond communication. They hover a few inches off the ground and pick up items with telekinetic abilities. To eat, they do what all mushrooms do: get in the rotten stuff and excrete enzymatic juices to absorb it into their body.


True anthromorphic beings, like dinosaurs with humans' mammaries and other such absurdities are denied citizenship in TurtleShroom and brutally discriminated against. Some types are classified as demons and seen as non-persons to be run out of town by angry mobs, while others are denied entry into the country and expelled to lands like Saurisia.
The few anthros legally allowed in TurtleShroom with the protection afforded to humans and other sentient beings are usually made to cover non-human features or wear burqas.

Parents that spawn anthros (a human plus an anthro, a human and a mutated animal, or two anthros) can be arrested and convicted of beastiality, which carries a maximum penalty of death.

Nekomimi- also called "catgirls" -are the most common creature deemed "anthromorphic". Essentially before TS law, they are humans, often Oriental in appearence but white being equally as common, with unnatural growths that resemble cat ears and cat tails. They are required by law to wear veils to cover their ears and tail, but unlike a lot of anthros, the government provides them with free amputations if they so request: the process is called a "felictomy". Few accept it.

Nekos and anthros both are forbidden from voting, holding public office, or enjoying and receiving the perks of TurtleShroomer citizenship. They tend to be taxed at a slightly higher rate when income taxes are in effect, and little way of assistance comes to pass for them.
They rarely get hired because it is considered "unclean" for a human, turtle, mushroom, or non-anthro sentient to associate with them. As such, nearly one hundred percent of TurtleShroomer nekomimi and anthros are unemployed.
