That's just the point though: If you need 12-year-olds and 70-year-olds, you're not ready. You're wasting resources on people who can never keep up.

A handful of well-trained, well-equiped soldiers in their prime are far more effective than a horde of sniveling children and geriatrics who can barely stand up, much less find the battle.

And don't think I'm saying anything against the young or the old. My own grandfather is 'Mad Max' Castro-Stalina, one the most famous soldiers in Fatatatutian history and my personal hero. He had sense enough to get out when he couldn't keep up with the forty-year-olds any more.

When you're too young or two old, or when you're wounded, you don't hold your comrades back.

I understand what you mean. But I don't think you realy get what i'm saying the program is to keep people in good codition and well trained there intire life. Plue the as young as 12 thing is once everyone eles is gone that means all the 20's 30's and 40's that are the full time army not the old and young.

in "real world" terms, anything more than 2-3% is considered ultra-high. 8% is considered "Total War".

40% is considered, well, "we have nothing besides the military because there is nobody left to work in anything besides uniform."

In NS terms it is called "godmodding".

Also, explain how "small" nations in this game are about 50x the size of America or China....

You call reality god modding? Climbing 10 million population in 12 hours....

Well, actually, the largest nations on NS are about (and less than, really) 50x the size of the US. China is a good, what, 4x the size of the US?

I can see the point you're attempting so poorly to make, but if you can't actually say correct things at all, you should probably stop arguing. Hyperboles don't work the way you seem to think they do.

I don't think you do understand what I'm saying. I'm saying that the 12-year-olds and 70-year-olds don't add anything to the army - they subtract from it. And if your 20s and 30s and 40s are all dead so that there's nobody left but the 12-year-olds and 70-year-olds, you've already lost the war.

All of you guys are just brainwashed from this game.

Lets compare:

Real Life: No rules on the field; win or die trying; bring as many men as you want, it really doesnt matter

NS: Useless rules; run away or live trying; you cant bring more than 1,000 men; if you dont, no one has the balls to play with you and lose

Also, my point is saying that America and China are the biggest countries in the world (population wise) and "small" nations in NS are like 10x the size of both of them....

So talk about god modding...,

There are rules to war in the real world. If a nation doesn't follow them, they tend to have bad things happen to them. So, no, you're wrong. Soldiers do, in fact, tend to follow these rules "in the field." Especially those in developed, Western nations.

For the record, you can invade me with 10, 25, 100% of your population: I will still win. So, if you'd like, go ahead. I don't know why you picked 1,000 as your arbitrary number; it makes it look like you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

And your point about America and China is still wrong. For one, India is bigger than the US. India and China are both drastically larger than the US. And almost no one has a population 10x the size of either China or India; those that do are the largest nations on NS.

Please stop being wrong.

I believe Doom is one of the largest, and he claims, I think, about 21 billion, through colonies, conquered lands, etc. In terms of the actual game population, I think the largest are still below 14 billion.

To add to what he said, You can indeed "bring what you want". Of course, that means you have nobody left at home to do, well, anything else. Like build things, grow food, replace spent ammo, etc, etc.

But I guess my 20 years in the army, the last 10 as an Offcier, do not count near as much as you reading about it in 7th grade. :p

and yes, it is godmodding to be stubbornly wrong.

Officially, our nation is 100% civilian. because all members of our armed forces are on secondment from the militias of our mass organisations. In practice, military constitute 0.01%. The government is conscious of miltary threats, and is introducing military training for militia members as resources permit.

That's about 10% of your population. Putting this in perspective, North Korea has about 2-3% of their population in the military. "Back in my day we had two sticks and rock, for the entire platoon, and we had to share the rock!" Should aptly describe your nation's military in comparison of North Korea's, even moreso compared to my own. My military on the other hand would make the United States **** their pants and beach their aircraft carriers (all 11 of them) in fear.

I took a three month class on Photoshop for free, I can probably (not) match GH's skills if I had CS4 or whatever the newest PS is. PROTIP: Aesthetics don't make a nation, good description and backstory, plus realism makes one (unless you're like FT, then you can do whatever crazy shit you want). GH has both, but he probably puts realism and plausibility first.
