The Akori Hive uses the Nutrient Credit to account for expenditures and transactions. 1NC is equal to 1/5 of the daily nutrient requirements of the human body. The average citizen never sees an actual credit because transactions are handled by the Nutrient Bank.

As a side note: The minimum wage is 7NC/day to gurantee that every citizen is able to feed themselves, and aquire other goods.
Children recieve a weekly stipend of 35NC (5NC/day) from the government to assist parents.

The Nutrient Credit is on the verge of disappearing from everyday use due to private industry being nationalized and outlawed by the Hive government. It will only be used for accounting purposes after the private sector is gone.
