In the Laurasian Empire, homosexuality is considered to be a grievous sin towards God and a horrible, beastly, aspect by much of the population and by the Orthodox Church. Gay marriage is illegal; numerous statutes exist that criminalize homosexuality, allow for legal persecution of gays and lesbians, and direct other measures towards them. The recently deceased sovereign, Dimitry I, was very conservative and homophobic; he issued a decree in 2000 which declared that gays must go to rehab and gain treatment for their "condition". Gays are not allowed to serve in the military and those who are discovered are imprisoned or banished to Siberia.

Homosexuality and gay marriage are completely legal in Jolleus, but are viewed distastefully by most of the population. Police are likely to turn a blind eye to hate crimes against homosexuals.

In Makkan Arabia, Homosexuality is frowned upon heavily but it is a right to privacy that protects them. Homosexuality is legal ONLY within an individuals home; any form of public display of affection is strictly prohibited and will result in 5 years in prison. Homosexuals are not allowed to serve the compulsory five year military service but are made to perform another form of civic duty (ex. community service). They are required to pay the Gay Tax of 3% of their yearly income. Gay marriage is also strictly illegal, and Makkan Arabia has no form of Civil Union.

Even so, homosexuals still have the same rights as others, although some people still retain more conservative views of them.
