All but the state religion, Gaiatonism, is forbidden - the government is only comprised of the most devout members of Gaiatonism, while the population is mostly anti-Gaiatonism although they are forced by law to worship the country's leaders.

Not likely. Some nations a more then 99% atheist... where the hell are you?

I don't know about you, but I'm getting very annoyed with all the 2009 nations claiming to be the most (something) nation in the world. Have these guys ever looked at a WA ranking?

Anyway, Swilatia is definitely a secular/atheistic country. Only 14 percent of the population belong to any religion.

My nation is not like my nation page at all, it contradicts itself, we don't EVER eat kangaroos, that's just very sad. Also vegetarianism is compulsory yet it still says it's the nation's favourite main course and all and stuff.

Highly religious.

The State is almost completely secular; I say almost because the official religion of Auoul is Christianity. All branches of Christianity must accept the Doctrine of Christianity. If they do not, the Ministry of Religion brands the denomination as heretical, which is basically a death sentence.

However, the people are very religious. Due to absolutely no form of government healthcare or welfare, wealthy Auoulians adhere to "the Rich Man's Burden" by regularly donating money to their churches, which provide money and resources to struggling or poor citizens. It's a pretty balanced system.

Utterly non-religious, in both incarnations of Rethan.

PMT: Not as extreme, but still very much frowned upon. Anyone who is religious is generally looked down upon by the rest of society.

Religion exists within the older members of my society, but the youth of my nation are very callous, foul-mouthed, and borderline nihilists. This is due in part to the highly relaxed social laws in my country. It is the way things are in the R.A.S. You'll spend your youth drifting along aimlessly until you find a purpose and a place in life. And as it were, many citizens turn to religion for that purpose.

Charitable sentiments are kept out of government - we abhor socialism and communism in particular. We feel that the citizens should take an active and personal role in the stewardship of our society. Many of my citizens feel that churches, and charity organizations are the best way to deal with the ills of our society - and they take action. They would rather oversee the homeless shelters, unemployment programs, and welfare issues themselves rather than allow a bureaucracy waste time, manpower, and tax money doing the same things only for interests of the government.

As for the government itself, it is a streamlined, small national government that gives the individual states of the republic free-reign over themselves. It is highly secular and pragmatic, it's only concern being national defence and the enforcement of the our Republic's Charter and The Constitution. The difference between these two documents is that the latter can be amended and changed within the parameter's of the former - which is immutable and cannot be changed whatsover. The Republic's Charter clearly states that there can be no state religion whether in the nation as a whole or within any of the individual states. Nor can there be any Federal or State sponsorship of any religious group or group that is against religion, in anyway whatsoever.

Barrettstia is a largely secular nation. Separation of Church and State is enshrined in the Federation's constitution an practised almost zealously by the government. Indeed, it has been commented that if you want toget the government to do anything then it helps not to have the church on your side.

As for the population itself, 76% are Atheist and the majority of the remainder follow Avatism, a religion which grew from neighbouring Saurea and is particularly common in the south near the Saurean border. 12% of the population are Avatist while the remaining 14% are predominantly a mixture of Reppyists, Agnostics and other faiths.

Officialy the state is secular- there is no official religion, all creeds are treated just the same and church is totally separate from state. In practice many Eurasians at least claim to adhere to one religion or another.

50.4% Christian (of different denominations)- 18% Orthodox, 29% Protestant (various denominations) and 7% Catholic
13.8% Muslim (of various denominations)
2.5% Jewish ("")
3.5% Other
29.8% Athiest/Agnostic

Imperial citizens are, for the most part, very devoutly religious - in private. We leave our religions at home and go about our daily business. That said, many religious customs have been adopted by secular society.
[*]The timing of the five Islamic prayers has been adopted in the form of timing of some breaks in most workplaces.
[*]Most banks, by their own volition, have adopted Islamic banking practices. Most people enjoy this.
[*]All people, Shinto practitioners or not, make a stop at at least one Shinto shrine while traveling, if only to appreciate the pristine natural environment.
[*]Many people have taken to eating the way Buddhist monks eat.
[*]Meditation is widespread. This is often what non-Muslims do when the Muslims go to pray.
[*]Most people who reside on more than 10 acres have at least one cow. Free lawnmowing and fertilizer. :p

Rather Religious. A good amount of our people are religious but not to the point of being a religious, zealot, technophobic, christian maniacs. Although there is no state religion but major religion is Christianity followed up by Judaism and many other local and international religions that would take too long to list them all.
