The Militia Forces' attack helicopter role is filled by the RAH-66A Comanche. The RAH-66A sports an M301A1 30mm rotary cannon and AGM-114 missiles, Hydra 70 rockets or AGM-176 Griffin missiles. It can carry additional munitions on hardpoints as needed. It also has reconnaissance capabilities.

The Kusthet Self Defence Force operates two seperate helicopters that both fulfill the helicopter gunship role.

First, and most purely suited to the role, is the Kamov KA-50 'Black shark'

Secondly, and perhaps most uniquely, is a localised synchropter version of the Mi-24 HiND called the 'Stormcrow' A-IFV.

Image

Capable of transporting 8 fully-armed Kusthet Aerodragoons, and manned by a crew of 3, the Stormcrow is an intimate air support vehicle called an 'Airborne IFV' in Kusthet military lingo. With a 30mm chin-mounted autocannon, and hardpoints for rockets, missiles, and other weapons, it is capable of clearing an LZ, deploying it's contingent of infantry, and then continuing to provide support against armoured targets in the local area before returning to re-arm. It is often supported by KA-50s and Kingfisher strike fighters to run as escort.

Also in development, to act in a similar role to a fixed-wing gunship is the 'guardian' synchropter, a massive, wideset syncrhopter with deep munitions bays and plentiful weaponry covering a majority of it's visual range, from guided missiles to autocannon to large-bore guns.

I'm planning on building an inter-meshing rotor attack copter based of an upgrade K-Max, haven't had time to get to it.

Yes, that is an inter-meshing four-blade rotor you see. I'm also working, like I said, on the guardian. Which has two six-blade rotors. And works like a low-level Awacs or fixed-wing gunship.

Intermeshing rotored helicopters do not like changing direction in a hurry and are naturally very stable therefore they do not make a good choice for an attack helicopter. Be aware of this disadvantage.

It's primary use is to get aero-mobile infantry to the target point, and is generally equipped with guided weapons capable of being targetted to the sides and rear of the gunship. As well as having the requisite door guns, even if they can't be used while firing said missile armament. The ability to pack anti-tank weapons is useful, but if a Kamov is available, and the mission is pure ground-attack, then the Kamov will be sent first.

Noted. I think my goal for it is to have it rely primarily on long range missiles to attack targets. (Possibly targeted by another vehicle) So it doesn't have to move in close. I do know that the inter-meshing rotors can carry a good deal fo wight which is why I'm going with the design. Plus it has some flaws and is unique. I really like making more unique designs.

No. I use a combination of EF and US tech. Not Russian...I dislike the Russians in that game. Their actions are...irresponsible. I refuse to help them win a World War against the awesome powers of the EF and the US.

Lol.

I dunno. Russian equipment seems to bulky. The M5 is slim, beautiful, compared to the Ogre, that looks like a rolling box with guns. And it doesn't look much better than it's name.

The Euros have pretty nice equipment too, but I'm too far a US patriot to use Euro tech over American tech. Not to mention that, even though, technologically, the Euros have an advantage, the US' forces, in my opinion, are just plane better. The Euros are fast, advanced, but weak. The Russians are big, strong, but slow. The US is a perfect balance. Nice speed, and great protection.

Sorry, Mother Russia. Make better looking equipment next time; Gives me an incentive to actually look at you!
