What type of soldier does your nation deploy? All types accepted, from viking and ancient warriors, to modern spec ops, or to manga and futuristic-y space people?

Our soldiers are armed similarly to those of the medieval ages (or possibly earlier; I'm not an expert on ancient history). Each one carries a longsword, a sling, and a spear. Leather armor is worn, and officers often have their suits of armor decorated with the pelt of a tiger.
