With that much armor, you should install a battering ram.

IT was a sad day indeed when the battering ram went out of fasion for navy vessels.

Indeed.

Just build a ton of pointy, heavily-armored drone fighters with FTL, and voila! Space flechettes.

Mass produce them and you'll never need a capital ship again. Just billions and billions of space flechettes.

Well, uh. The Avatar is a Titan Class, biggest there is at 16 kilometers long.
It's mass is 2,278,125,000 Kilograms, and has a maximum velocity of 70m/s.
Maybe I should install a purging system onto the front of the Avatar, if I turn it into a battering ram, I'm going to need something to wipe the debris off of it.
But there shall not be need for one, I'd imagine. I mean, why ram when you can simply shoot a big laser at whatever you want gone?

I must point out that a YellowApplan Aerospace Marine would feel little to no intimidation if he or she were to face a soldier wearing a powered suit which, upon moving any limb, would instantly snap bones due to the lack of alignment between the armor's joints and those of the wearer.

Also theres a reason why professional soldiers wear the Heavy Armor and not the Marine Armor. Heavy Armor can open up and you can sit inside Marine armor is basically like a turtles shell, it don't come off till your out of the service and if you try any shit while in war you'll be instantly killed by a man watching over the base with a remote in his hand.

The problem is that - realistically speaking - the armor's knees, for example, would be at the mid-upper shins of the wearer for a 7-foot suit of armor; upon bending the knee of the armor, the shin would bend, too, which - generally speaking - will result in a fracture.

If you don't care about your soldiers turning their bones into shards during combat, then by all means go for it. However, I don't expect voluntary enlistment numbers to be very high unless your soldiers are made of Jello :)

As a StarCraft fan I should point out that armour is a Prionser's armour, they are forced to wear it until they serve their term. If you are not a prisoner, you can take marine armour off, it just has to be removed by a similar machine.

Unless you are talking about/saw something different, the marine armour bends at the knees, and all joints, only enlarging the feet and hands and shoulder areas, any and all joints match up. In fact out of all the StarCraft armour, this armour (Other then the Ghost/Spectre) is the most realistic.

And I do agree I see Marine armor possible around maybe 2030-50 seeing how our technology is going and ghost armor...shit Japan theoretically made an invisible clock already, tho the Marine armor in RL would be a bit over kill if you ask me, but I live for over kill in war.

Thank god I'm not the only Starcraft fan!

And yes I know thats prisoner armor but like any Starcraft based FT nation what idiot is going to join the Marine Corps? You'd have to be nuts but on NS since everyone isn't like 3 ft taller then you and can rip your armor limp from limb like it was play doe I guess civilian recruiting numbers would increase. But ya I know all that between the recruited armor and prisoner armor. :p

And that is true about the armor it is the most realistic.

And when I said the suit was 7 ft tall I was basing it on a soldier around the height of 6 foot to 6 foot 5. Reason is because of that extra armor and the hood and the heels of the boots and such would increase height significantly.

Still working on most of my stuff, some can be found in my sig, and here's an example of a war drone.

Amadeus
Amadeus - meaning - "God's Beloved"

Amadeus was constructed during the first centuries of the Polity, built at the infamous "Factory 101" Noted for it's construction of unstable War drones, this only serving to make them far more efficient killers. Amadeus's mind was constructed with lack for compassion, mercy and empathy. Constructed as a medium size Drone, Amadeus was built in the form of large chrome arachnid with a leg span of twelve meters an abdomen of four meters wide and six long, a cephalothorax of only a meter wide and a meter and a half long, an oval shape. This giving the Drone a rather sleek appearance, however, under this polished chrome armour is hidden an array of weapons that could easily decimate a large scale arcology city.
Amadeus fought during the Trajeen war, in the area of space now known as "The Graveyard" His battles mostly confined to planet surfaces and ship board battles, though there are several reports of space born battles in witch he was involved. Attached to a Shock unit as heavy support recon and assassination unit, it was Amadeus's task to usually infiltrate enemy defences as a terror weapon and assassinate officers in as horrific manner as possible. During the war Amadeus was reported by his Unit commandeered as being "Slightly off the rails" In a human this would be known as slightly insane, in a Drone built for all out destruction this was simply classed as "Perfect for the task of war" but not perfect for peace times. During the war however events witnessed caused a reformat of Amadeus's mind in some respects, allowing his status by PCS to be re-classified simply as "A danger to Polity citizens".
He was however allowed to remain after the war along with millions of other War Drones, but unlike countless others. After the war he took a post guarding one of the now dis-used and moth-balled War Runcibles, during his time at this post he developed several hobbies to help pass the times, one being the construction of complex interlocking geometric sculptures and a study of Renascence art and poetry, as well as growing fresh fruit. Amadeus has since attained the title of "Free Polity Citizen" by paying for his own construction, he now works for the Sector AI "Cherry Blossom" patrolling several Line Worlds and protecting the citizens there from Separatist attacks. He remains on the list of PCS active War Drones, and is currently eagerly awaiting an assignment to one of the Polity borders where other civilizations are rumoured to exist.

Weapons and Defences
Two Mach-5 Gatling rail guns concealed within his abdomen with a rate of fire at one thousand rounds per minuet, his favourite type of ammunition being P-shells (five millimetre shells constructed of nutronium containing two millimetres of metallic hydrogen at their cores, upon impact the shells rupture, the metallic hydrogen instantly converting to fifty square meters of hydrogen gas that then ignites and explodes) Magazine size is twenty five thousand rounds.
Double missile carousels armed with atmospheric explosives, each carousel contains fifty missiles.
C.I.W.S multi-spectrum laser system for protection and missile defence.
Particle beam projector mounted within his cephalothorax.
Monomolecular cable within each leg tip, length, ninety meters.
Twin molecular cutting projectors mounted within his cephalothorax to act as close combat weapons.
Cephalothorax mounted thermic lance.

Armour
Nano-ceramal chrome armour, Amadeus's outer armour shell is coated with Nano machines, able to repair external damage at an astounding rate, the armour is also capable of reflecting and absorbing energy weapons fire, all except AP (anti-proton) weapons.
Chameleonware, a system allowing Amadeus to remains totally invisible to the naked eye and most scanning systems for up to one week.
Hardfield projectors, Four hardfield projectors mounted internally allowing Amadeus to project physical barriers to employ as defences of weapons.
CTD static explosive, a single CDT device employed as a suicide device. the device is located within Amadeus's abdomen, attached to his main fusion reactor and can be detonated at will, such devices are usually used when in an area where it will cause most damage, or if the Drone is being over run by attackers. Amadeus however has the ability to detach his abdomen, and leave it behind as a stationary weapons platform, once all it's ammunition is depleted the CDT will detonate and vaporise everything within a mile radius.

Also you should give a opinion on the WW3 Fact thing I am making.

Na I'm strictly Terran don't worry about it.

OOC: This is the FT version of Minroz

The armed forces of the Greater Minrozian Empire are the vast efficient unified military organisation, a necessity for the Minrozians in order to maintain their Galactic Dominion. They operate under the simple doctrine of applying overwhelming force to any given situation. Tracing its history to the days of the Ancient Khanate, It was responsible for carrying out military operations throughout the Empire, as well as maintaining order on Imperial member worlds, governorships, colonies, and protectorates.

Sum(Arrow) Class Bomber

Minrozian Imperial Space Navy alone is so enormous that any interstellar nations alone can hope to match, and it acted as both police the Empire’s borders, crushing rebellion, and maintain order. However, as large as the Fleet it is, it failed to keep up with modern technological innovation mainly due to Imperial arrogance, after several major defeats against its archrivals (Omaska and Xoraine) prompting the alarmed Minrozian leaderships to reform the Navy.
