we use for MT the Paxton-class missle cruiser
armed with 3-6in guns and 2-modern missle launchers for long range missle strikes against enemy ships and to soften up or destroy enemy forces with ground support
its only weakness is at short range where its weapons have less effect on enemy ships
using a combo of traditional hull armor with armour similar to kevlar she can both take a strong uppercut and deliver a massive counter punch makes the Paxton-class a desired long range strike missle cruiser

OOC: I assume you don't mean "primary" as in most relied upon but "primary" as in most nationally cherished?

IC: Distruzio is an anarcho-monarchist polity with no truly unified naval force to speak of. Private merchant firms utilize a myriad of naval vessels to defend their trade routes - so many that a catalog of the vessels flying under the Flag of the Realm would take up space enough to fill a small room. The King maintains a naval force loyal to the Crown and the Crown alone, however. It is this force that will be here described. The King uses airships for foreign military engagements based upon the, as he sees it, under-appreciated zeppelin technology developed and refined in the interbellum period.

OOC: Bare in mind that this is a FanT/PMT aeronautical force of air- and skyships. If that's too fantastical for you... tough. It may not fit so perfectly in this thread, but since Distruzio uses battleship based designs for her aerofleet, I decided to post. Hopefully, there are some of you keen enough to note the realism I put into making these ships viable and you will appreciate my efforts when I post IC. All my descriptions are based off real world technology and slightly exaggerated to render Distruzio military excursions more interesting and memorable.

It carries lots of missiles.

An arsenal ship is basically a missile truck for a destroyer or cruiser, which is why it lacks heavy duty radar and stuff.

As Space Is A Ocean, the term Space navy is used in FT player dialogue and role playing.

Shouldn't any and all space forces be subordinate to the air force, for the sole reason that most modern air forces are responsible for space based operations.
