The Anu-Asiyan policeman are made up of two factions. The normal police and the only known in the capital province religious police.
The normal police are stereotyped as potsmokers who seem to still be able to function right although they are high and stammer alot. The religious police however are seen partially as the friendly neighborhood advisor but in other ways as the minority beating jerk.

There isn't much crime so sometimes the only thing they have to do is take foreigners to jail for disrupting the community.Because of it there are steryotypes in other nations that they are currupt people who will take away anyone who speaks their mind. But localy they're pretty much normal people with guns who are looking out for you, your clan and the nation/city as a whole.

They wear big almost beehive-ish hats and wear a grey uniform with a blue insignia badge with Knives crossing eachother.

The Alsegrine police force - whether urban or rural - is universally overworked and underpaid - to the point where they've surrendered regular beat policing to the urban militias. Their role is now largely investigative.

The YellowApple Domestic Security Corps is quite well known for its all-pervasiveness, especially regarding undercover Enforcers, and thus the DSC has often been described as "ghost-like" and depicted as ghosts and similar supernatural beings. Their stereotype is alternatively also cartoonish, with Enforcers - either in uniform or in black suits and fedoras - popping out from behind refuse boxes, pillars, and other comically-small hiding places to make arrests.

Bumbling, lazy and amazingly stupid, the militia has the image of typical "donut-dunkers" everywhere. They are seen with somewhat more sympathy though, as "those poor idiots would nevfer get a real job anyways."

Friendly, helpful, semi-military, non-corrupt, strict.

Kind of like the modern Russian police, minus the corruption and add some friendliness. None too friendly to serious criminals.

They are not corrupt, though child abusers, rapists, paedophiles, etc are often given savage beatings by officers whilst in custody, which is overlooked by the higher-ups.

Generally, they are friendly, well-trained,helpful, semi-military, non-corrupt, strict, but are not above using violence should it come to it. This is indeed true for the police are encouraged to interact with the general populace who know that they are authorized to use violence if the situation calls for such.

However for Veshek, they're seen as cold and calculative, all-knowing individuals who use any means necessary to do complete their tasks and maintain security of the whole empire, them being the premier secret police as well as intelligence agency in the Khanate.

A friendly police force that are highly efficient at what they do. Also perhaps seen as some kind of slick officers who are always read with a witty line when they catch a criminal.

They may seem over-equipped and intimidating to outsiders, but the locals know they need the firepower to fend off a Charlie Sheen attack and commend them for their bravery.

The 'coppers' are unarmed ex-hooligans who have their own factions within the force. It is a typical site to see them fight with the different firms and among themselves. Still they manage to keep crime under control... to an extent.

They're generally seen as no-nonsense and firm, but fair and helpful. The government tries hard to make that image stick. However, most police officers are people who couldn't make the military, so it is wise to avoid any reference to it, unless you want be to be pistol-whipped
