It is legal, provided that they are at least 16 years of age. Any workers have the right to join unions and there is a union for it.

Prostitution is strictly illegal throughout the Federal Republic, and those who practice it usually get little sympathy from the people.

Law enforcement also tend to watch known and suspected prostitutes carefully, as they are often tied closely with the production, sale, and use of illicit drugs.
There's really a difference in RPing a bad nation, and RPing a nation badly.

I'm not actually a racist. That's just how I play the nation. Leave me alone if it bothers you that much.

If something I have posted offends you, step back, take a deep breath, and ask yourself: Does he care? If it really offends you, drop me a line. I'm always up for a civil conversation.

Like most Radiatian laws, some states have prostitutes, some do not, and some even have "military prostitution" in which women must 'entertain' the army for one year, like compulsory military service.

Prostitutes are however protected by Federal Law and do have rights, including Unions, and under Federal Law no prostitute may be younger than 18.

So...women are required by law to become sex slaves to the troops for a year?

Legal, regulated, organized, and taxed. We don't allow "streetwalkers", but we have organized brothels, to work in one a girl must prove she is of legal age (17 & up), and get a clean bill of health from a doctor. By working in a brothel she works with the knowledge that she can refuse a customer only if she has valid reasons (acts violent, appears diseased, etc.). She can, of course, refuse otherwise, but she will likely lose her job if she denies a customer for any other reason. She pays 15% of her earnings to the brothel house at the end of her shift.

Technically, sixteen. However, it normally involves getting a degree in psychology, so practically one doesn't see prostitutes until they are about 21 years of age.
Are there unions for prostitutes?
Yes, of a sort. There are advocacy groups that function in some ways like unions.

It is illegal, due to strong public opinion against it and for safety of politic ans and prostitutes. You dont wish to know what happened to last politician who put forward proposal to legalize it when he went out to give a speech.

Is it legal?
Yes. The right to pursuit of happiness is guaranteed to each citizen, and we take it very seriously.
Well-performing students, minorities, people with disabilities and seniors can often receive a free brothel pass. Professional Sex Education is a popular career class in schools.

What is the minimum age for it?
There is none. Individual brothels, especially chain ones, usually do have specific age hiring policies, however.
Also, male visitors under 17 years of age (1994 being a year of major leaps in male genetic engineering) are usually required to present their Penis Card or submit to a medical check to prove it does not exceed the maximum permitted size, lest they be restricted to "no limit" rooms.

Are there unions for prostitutes?
Maybe.

interpersonal relationships are not regulated at the national level. they are up to each neighborhood, village, and rural district to chose for themselves as their residents see fit.
truth isn't what i say. isn't what you say. isn't what anybody says. truth is what is there, when no one is saying anything.

Then against, slavery in illegal for all WA countries IIRC.

Prostitution is legal in Tuthina for everyone who completed compulsory education (generally ended in 16 years old), as we consider people who are equipped to die for our nation are entitled to decide their own way of living, as long as it does not interfere with other's rights.

Prostitutes and cortesans (separate concepts) are automatically members of a national union for prostitution, just like most other jobs. Unions outside the government structure have no legal power.

It's legal for minimum age of 21. There are somekind of a workers union associated with social and health department to maintain their appropriate conditions in doing their "business", mainly related to mental and physical health issues.
