Unusual for the Second Regime, they are.
Most of the nation has a patriarchal society, but the military is the only exception.
Literally anyone regardless of origin or gender can serve, provided they meet up to service requirements.
Nothing to see here.

Yeah, but only if they can make it past training. But usually men would serve in the special forces or is always going to be on the front lines. Mixed gendered groups would only go to the front lines if they needed reinforcements.

All citizens of Illemenia over the age of 22 can serve in the military. Because women are considered full citizens (obviously), then they can serve in all branches of the NIDF (National Illemenia Defense Forces). In fact, the Supreme Commander of the NIDF, Elise Bourke, is a woman.

Due to the social stigma and religious belief, it is unlikely for a woman to serve in the armed forces. Instead, they were meant for administrative purposes. There's only roughly 10% of women serving as an active soldier. Furthermore, the majority of women served as doctors, nurses, clerical works, and other support roles in major armies. In spite of that, it's legal for women to serve in all branches and were given equal treatment as any other servicemen.

Women are allowed only to serve in non-combat roles such as secretaries and nurses in peacetime. During war, recruitment of them may be allowed if the situation is extremely desperate.
No NS stats please.

The military has be desegregated based on gender since 1972. There are no restrictions in terms of placement based on gender.

The Federation of Lillorainen has no restrictions whatsoever based on gender since its founding in 1981. Some predecessor states have already allowed women into military before.
Since Lillorainen's geography is currently being overhauled a 'tiny' bit, most information on it posted before December 12, 2018, is not entirely reliable anymore. Until there's a new, proper factfile, everything you might need to know can be found here. Thank you. #RetconOfDoom (Very late update, 2020/08/30 - it's still going on ...)

Women are allowed to serve in the armed forces and have been since the founding of our nation. In fact, women's combat participation was documented during the Erydian War of Independence against the British.

Yes, but in the army they have gender-segregated formations to optimise efficiency.
They can be in mixed formations in the air force and the navy, though.

Women serve in all branches of the military. Most of the ground combat branches, particularly the special forces, remain male-dominated due to the grueling fitness requirements.

Yes as in our growing nation.. women outnumber men by a factor of 10 to 1. There are simply not many men to begin with and influx of Valkyrian women "paid" as war repatriation from Valkyrian kingdom will "improve" the factor to 12.

While legally allowed to join, woman don't usually join the army in combat roles. They instead stick to nursing and caring roles within the army.

Women can serve in the military following the examples of Aisha leading a battle(OOC: this did happen look up Aisha leading battle in Google).
Women can serve in any branch of the millitary if they choose but serve in separate battalions for the own safety and to avoid distracting either the men or the women.
Women agree to join the army and unlike men are not drafted.
Many Queens and princesses hold senior military ranks.
