Magic is rare among wartoks and even rarer among the grull, but having magic powers ensure you will hold a lot of respect and power. Shaman Bonegrinder is after all a very powerful magic-user and he is the undisputed leader of the isles.
A group of windpined, rocky islands in the middle of a stormy sea populated by tribes of barbaric monsters. We are the wartoks of Andrellian Isles.

Magic is de facto reserved for the upper, ruling class. They learn the skills of magic at the University of Shiz in the Emerald City of Oz, which has very strict acceptance requirements. However a few of the peasents have picked up on the ability over the years and use it to give them frutiful fields and long life. Since this is illegal, non-ruling class members using magic, they are often arrested by the Ozidian Guard and taken to The Under-Grounds, a maximum security prison.

Allowed, but monitored closely to make sure it isn't being used to break the law.

Please. Magic is just anothr word for secret technology
Kalaspia-Shimarata's flag represents the Union between K&S. The dark blue represents the sea and the light blue represents the sky. In Kalashi language considers light blue and dark blue to be different colours. England colonised, and unified K&S, between 1774 and 1953, and English, light blue and dark blue are considered to be the same colour. Therefore, the contrast between dark blue and light blue represents the union, but the differences between K&S where as blue being two but simultaneously one colour represents K&S being two, but simultaniously one entity. The opposite to the symmetry represents the unity and indipendance of K&S, whilst also representing the Kalashi culture of opposite symmetry.KS is 75% Christian, hence the cross.

Magic is allowed, although it is rare for people to practice it in the Alliance. It requires a good bit of study, while simple, easy-to-use technology provides almost all of the same effects and benefits. There are several colleges and institutes dedicated to its study, and the military prefers to keep tabs on its present state, but otherwise, it's not a particularly important part of society, and it is possible to travel around much of the Alliance without meeting a single practitioner.

Magic is accepted and the people (citizens and non-citizens) are allowed to use it freely, so long as they don't use it to harm others, if they do, they will be sent to a rehabilitation centre.

So please, calm down and go order a box of supreme fudge chocolate chip brownies from your local 9 and i convenience store; I understand they now deliver baked goods.

We already have these things:

And yes, people may use all these things freely, so nothing would change.
