Was first created in the mid 21st century becoming the strongest weapon in the human arsenal, it's first use was in Japan and was responsible for a massive drop in the Japanese population, The Tokyo Convention between the recently established Japanese Territory (Formally Area 11 under following nation), Britannia, the United States, Rome, The Russo-Chinese Federation and Byzentania resulted in it's ban, it would not be used until later when rediscovered and used in the "Battle of the Ark" there are currently 300 of these WMD.

Other than that we have the usual MACs, Nova Bombs, Slipspace bomb and now even Glassing (rare to use however.)

In Ruskarkand, we have missiles that are packed full of anomalous particles. These particles, when subject to a tiny amount of kinetic energy, react violently and cause an explosion on an unprecedented scale of destruction. These particles are only volatile in certain conditions, such as when an anomalous particle detector (Designated as VELES or SVAROG) is in their vicinity.

The Explosion has been known to also 'Corrupt' the laws of nature and physics by producting Anomalies and unholy amounts of Radiation at the point of impact. These anomalies are triggered when a metal based compound enters the Anomalous field, another trigger is blood, since that is Iron Based.
The Anomalies, when triggered; have an assorted range of different means of killing a person; some manipulate gravity and crush the victim, or make them implode.
Others make use of Chemicals to corrode and kill their victims, others make use of electricity to shock their victim to death.
There's a whole range, let's leave it at that.

Another observed side-effect is the production of a small crystalline form that begins to develop after a few years, it's not known to us what this crystalline is, but our scientists just believe that it's Diamond or something.
Anyway; we generally are extremely lenient to use these. They cost too much to be practical as a WMD and the Particles are worth more to science in the labs than they are in a missile. We also do not know if we are fucking things up in the big picture when we play with these things, but alas; we do it anyway.

Russia literally JUST finished a 100 megaton nuclear missile. Wouldn't several hundred megatons be PMT? It's kind of near future, if Russia keeps going at it.

However, rumors do exist that the Spire's holding airborne, weaponized samples of all four of the Ebolaviruses and MRSA bacterium, and it's logically obvious (though no concrete evidence exists) that the scientists within the Spire are actively engineering superplagues to deal with "Undesirable Species" such as furries, ponies, et cetera.

no, Tsar Bomba's actually been around for a while, Hedmark, and they nerfed it because the only delivery system big enough at that time (a bomber) wouldn't have been able to escape the blast zone, even with a parachute. But yes, multiple hundreds of megatons in unfeasible with modern tech.

The variants of WMDs at the Imperiums disposal is massive. However there a only a few worth mentioning.

*The Atmospheric Incinerator Torpedo- A weapons that uses an advanced plasma device that bursts in low planetary orbit and literally ignites all oxygen on a target planet. Can only be deployed with Inquisitorial authorization.

*The Virus bomb- This weapon is a the delivery sysem for the life-eater virus, which is terrifyingly voracious, capable of spreading across the entire surface of a planet in a matter of minutes. The virus can penetrate power armour and rebreathers. The virus quickly rots and breaks down anything of biological origin. Although these types of weapons have been limited in use, and the majority have been decomissioned, they still see use on both the strategic and tactical levels. Can only be deployed with Inquisitorial authorization on the strategic level. Field commanders of sufficiant rank can deploy them on the tactical level.

*The Cyclonic torpedo- The effect of cyclonic torpedoes is the complete destruction of all life on the planet, its atmosphere burned away in a storm of fire and its oceans boiled to vapour, leaving it a barren rock. Only the Inquisition has authorization to deploy these weapons, and only when an Exterminatus has been declared.

We also have Dragons, both Anthropomorphic and non. Same with Dinosaurs, though the non-Anthropomorphic ones are used as weapons platforms (the large ones, that is). The non-Anthro Dragons are sent to wreak havoc on enemy cities, though nuclear weapons are preferred as they're more efficient and they're less likely to cost Saurisian Dragons their lives.
