One Life Hardly Balances Billions
Carloso is a huge nation ruled by Supreme Chancellor Carl Philip Tobin as head of government and President Alice Ryan as head of state. It is located on a piece of land known as the Green-lands because of its vast open plains, forests and unique wildlife. It was founded in 1625 when a battle took place between a Spanish and English fleet during a storm which caused many of the ships to sink. The survivors settled on the land Carloso is on and after a few years claimed it as an independent nation.
Politics
Carloso is a democracy so the people elect the government and members of the parliament. Unlike other countries the people of Carloso decide who will be the minister for what. The party leader of the party with the most seats in the parliament, if elected in a general election will have a vote of confidence on him in the party and if he is found unsuitable for the position of Supreme Chancellor, a party election will be held deciding who is the next leader. The party with the most seats must have a number of 120 seats of the 352 seats in the parliament to rule the country by itself. If the fails to meet this quota it will have to come into power with a coalition partner.

Geography
Carloso is a mainly flat nation but the west is very mountainous as the country begins to blend into the geography of its neighbor Lenehen. The highest point is Mt. Katowice at 7620 m high but is halved between Lenehen and Carloso. The land as it approaches the sea gets very forested with great forests of oak and elm trees stretching beyond the horizon. The capital of Carloso, New Carlingford is itself surrounded by a dense sea of oak trees to soak up the huge amounts of pollution produced by the cars and factories in the city. In Summer it can get as hot as 34c and as cold as -23c in Winter.

Carloso, for its size those not have many major cities but he ones that are there are huge and house over 4 times the average for a city. One such example is New Carlingford. New Carlingford has a population of 73 million. Possibly one of the highest in the world. Although the cities are densely populated, the standards of living in the cities are very high with New Carlingford having a HDI of 0.994.

Capital
New Carlingford is Carloso's capital with a population of 73 million and a HDI of 0.994. It has been the capital for 58 years. Before it was Carlington but following a drought in 1954, the city was abandoned and was not re-founded until 1981. Carloso houses the parliamentary buildings and also the biggest public park in the ACSN. It is most famous for the Arch of Destiny , a huge arch made of marble and stone and the Brunswick Tower , a 2,615 m high skyscraper which is the biggest skyscraper in Carloso and second highest in the ACSN.
