Not really, it's one of the major religions but the denomination here is a unique local version with different practices from the regular Human denominations. Atheism and Agnosticism are more dominant in Saurisia.

TurtleShroomer law requires catgirls/nekomimis to wear "veils" (pretty much the same as Hijabs) to cover their "deformities" (that is, their cat ears), and to conceal their tails. These are comnpulsary and mandated at all times, for both genders when it comes to nekos.
(Alternately, they can opt to have a "felectomy" and have these parts removed. Many health insurers cover it.)

All other creatures may wear it if they wish. This is an issue that has never come up in TurtleShroom, primarily because Islam does not exist in any meaningful numbers here.
