Eudaimonism is our major belief system. It's not a religion, but is perhaps an atheistic equivalent to one. It's a philosophical and spiritual path that is nontheistic. This was the philosophical orientation of many of the original colonists of Meridiani Planum.

The second biggest religion-equivalent is closer to a true religion (i.e, a theistic worldview). It's the Esoteric Order of Cthulhu. There are very few members, and Cthulhu is arguably not a god, but a 6+ dimensional cosmic entity from beyond the confines of our current bubble universe, but there you go.

Romandeos is primarily Christians of various Protestant and non-Catholic (there is a difference) varieties, though we do have a Catholic minority. We also have Jews, Muslims, and more.

We're pseudo-shamanistic and worship the Turtle Lord. He's not the highest deity or the only deity in our pantheon, but without him life as we know it couldn't exist.

ZEMBROSE CREATION MYTH (super shortened version to spare you guys)

- There are billions of gods and goddesses, each one assigned to watch over and protect a star.
--- When a star disappears or is destroyed/goes nova, a god has died and demons have consumed their star.
- Amala the Verdant Mother is assigned to Earth's star.
--- Amala is shy and is picked on by the other gods and goddesses, she's younger.
--- When she arrives at the sun she stumbles and knocks it. Some chunks fly off.
- Amala begins to weep because she's afraid of what the other gods and goddesses will say to her since she failed her duties before even getting started.
--- A tear lands on the Earth, which is nothing but rock and waste knocked off of the sun. 3/4 of the land mass is flooded by her tears.
- Amala rushes to cover up the mess she created with her hands so that it wouldn't be seen.
--- Her touch causes the seeds of life to bloom in the vast ocean. Azuzem, the Great Turtle Lord, is born.
- Azuzem swims through the oceans spreading life. Trees and plants grow on his massive shell. Birds nest in their boughs.
--- Azuzem spreads life across the entire planet this way. Amala stops crying and is in awe.
- After he finishes, Azuzem swims out to sea and begins a long hibernation. Sediment and soil gather around him, forming the region of Ronduria.
--- Amala blesses Azuzem with immortality and tasks him with preserving life on her blue planet.
--- The other gods, jealous of Amala's accomplishments, shun her, leaving her to create new minor gods to support her planet.

Basically everything we live on is our god, so wastefulness and environmental harm actually hurt our god. We want to keep his blessing so we don't anger him. Both the land (the Turtle Lord) and the sea (Amala's tears) are sacred. Simple version of our faith.

Um... Abraham was promised by God (or Yahweh in Hebrew) that he will have many descandents, Moses was told by Yahweh, who took the form of a burning bush, to go down to Egypt to free the Hebrews who were enslaved by the Pharohs' tyranny, he eventually led them out of Egypt and into the Sinai desert, which caused the Jews to get all whiny. As for Muhammed, he was recieved by an angel who told him to spread the word of Allah, even if it means killing people. After he died, his followers began spreading Islam, carving an Empire, and slicing people to pieces.
