Rhodevus does not have any national religion, but it's largest religious sect is Catholic Christianity followed by a large Jewish minority. Though no religious holidays are days off, Rhodeve national holidays do happen to align with these holidays to keep students from taking off more school days and businesses to close down on more days than necessary.

Various sects of Mahayana Buddhism (some of which may also fall within the Vajrayana school, though most don't) contain about 70% of the population. The predominance of Buddhism is relatively new, coming about through a mixture of bottom-up social transformation and top-down social engineering. This was due to the compatibility of Mahayana Buddhist doctrine with Marxism. The concept of impermanence (anicca) is seen as equivalent to dialectics, alienation is considered the major cause of unsatisfactoriness (dukkha), the concept of non-self (anatta) is considered to indicate support of materialism (this being the weakest link and mostly ignored, included only for completeness sake), and bodhisattvas are analogized to the revolutionary vanguard - some sects even merging the concepts. In essence, the Yuchalian Marxists sought to frame Siddhārtha Gautama as a proto-Marxist - and, in the eyes of the populace at the very least, largely succeeded.

Throughout this Marxification of Yuchalian Buddhism, there has also been corresponding a Buddhification of Yuchalian Marxism. Immense focus is put on the suffering caused by class conflict and alienation, the fact that this suffering is caused by capitalism, and that therefore to defeat suffering, capitalism must be opposed and brought down. The stated goal of the Socialist Worker's Party (SWP) of Yuchal is: The liberation of the world from suffering and the fulfillment of humanity's true potential. Most Yuchalian Marxists are Buddhists, and most Yuchalian Buddhists are Marxists. The Dalai Lama is viewed very positively, despite Yuchal's antipathy towards almost every other religious authority, though there is discontent about Tibet's pre-Chinese-conquest feudal system.

It is not uncommon for Yuchal to try and spread Mahayana Buddhism and revolutionary fervor at the same time, with the best Marxist ideologues often doubling as Buddhist missionaries.

Previously, there was a notable (in influence, not size) Christian middleman minority. Most of them emigrated, were lynched, or abandoned Christianity following the revolution, since they were as a group associated with the bourgeoisie.
