What kind of sports do your citizens play?

We at the Holy Xenon Empire enjoy more extreme sports for out insatiable appetite for excitement. Our favorite sport is car racing.

No national sport but baseball is very popular and hockey, soccer, (American) football, and basketball also have large followings. Skiing is very popular during the winter months and our nation has some great ski areas in the northwest sections of our nation (will detail various regions more when I have some time).

Also while not sports games like chess are very popular as well.

Our national sport is Gladiatorial Combat:
POWs and (sometimes) condemned prisoners are bought to sporting arenas and forced to fight to the death (with melee weapons) at gunpoint. If the administrator, be it a lowly local official or the Khan himself, is displeased with any aspect of the match, the victor is put to death anyway.

For some reason, life expectancy among combatants is measured in minutes.

Kalaspia-Shimarata's flag represents the Union between K&S. The dark blue represents the sea and the light blue represents the sky. In Kalashi language considers light blue and dark blue to be different colours. England colonised, and unified K&S, between 1774 and 1953, and English, light blue and dark blue are considered to be the same colour. Therefore, the contrast between dark blue and light blue represents the union, but the differences between K&S where as blue being two but simultaneously one colour represents K&S being two, but simultaniously one entity. The opposite to the symmetry represents the unity and indipendance of K&S, whilst also representing the Kalashi culture of opposite symmetry.KS is 75% Christian, hence the cross.

Space Nazis, being Nazis, engage in the following sports with some regularity (Though not necessarily world-class level skill)

  • Football. Because Germans, and therefore Nazis, always win at football
  • MMA - it should be noted that being Nazis, and therefore very much into leather-clad and/ or sweating, bare-chested manliness, gloves were removed and there's only a single, fifteen-minute round. And it takes a hell of a lot of effort to make the rev stand you up. tl;dr: Lots more manhugging, I mean grappling, and a lot less standup. Judo being a lot more common than wrestling since the spread of Judo in the post-WW1 era in Germany, there's also relatively little wrestling- and a lot more Judo-based fighting going on
  • Racing in all forms. It's arguably a sportification of blitzkrieg with less shooting
