(As a RL example, the way United States Marines dress in the field- camoflague -and in ceremony- total epicness/manliness -stand apart greatly.)
In NationStates, it seems to me that ceremonial dress is folks' oppurtunity to apply the "Bling of War" plot device to characters, because you can't practically go into trenches and wield machine guns in the heat of gunfire dressed like Nicksylvania. Of course, for me, that's what makes it such a fun topic.
It's interesting. There's a topic for ceremonial ranks and ceremonial guards, but what about your usual Beetle Baily's ceremonial clothes? Doesn't he have SOMETHING?
Hence, today's questions.
What is the ceremonial dress of your army? How about your navy? If you have other branches, what are theirs? Do they even have them?
When do they wear them? Is it for extremely special occasions, or whenever they're not actually fighting?
I want to know. So come on NS, show some pride in your troops and give me your nation's finest dressed at their finest!
