What know alot changes in 70 years, and usually, if they are like that for less than 70 years, they are probably not perminate, so that said, if your nation has changed dramatically in 70 years, then the flag would have too. Maybe you became Christian, or muslim, or budist, or athiest, or communist. We've had this flag since 1857 so it was like this 70 years ago

The Netherlands used two different flags in 1941, as 1941 was the year in which the German Kaiserreich invaded the Dutch Socialist Union. Germany officially declared war on the Netherlands on the 16th of May 1941, and it ended with a German victory on the 27th of May, meaning the end of the Dutch Socialist Union. it was the same. Last time our flag changed was early in 19th century. The only difference was that instead of a horizontal tricolour, it was a vertical one.
