Such a short time length. Our Insignia or national "Flag" has not changed in a few thousand years.


In other words, the one you see in the top left corner was the same in 1941, and 0 AD, and even far into the BC's

We recently made some cosmetic changes to the official appearance of our banner, reverting back actually to an older art style, which many Afaleonene think of as "theirs", but which in all reality combines elements of Eahlcynn, Afaleonene, and Norþmann styles - quintessentially Eahlisc, in other words.

The last significant change to the banner of Eahland was around 1006, when Godric Cyneslaga and Siflæd Eahlene Isenhand broke the male line of the Eahlene, and Siflæd cwene ordered the wulf added to the banner - which she said to represent both Godric, father of the new line of cyningas, who bore a blue-and-white wulf as his personal sigil, and her ancestor and my namesake Æþelwulf se Greata - the silver wulf being the æþel-wulf, see.

Before 1006, the banner was just the Green Mountain of the Eahlene:
