The Constitution of the Queendom of Gynocracy:
Article One
Section 1 The supreme head of state shall be Queen Linda the Magnificent and her heirs in perpetuity.
Section 2 She and her heirs shall be commander-in-chief of the armed forces of the nation
Section 3 The succession to the throne is vested solely in the female line. In the event of a male child being
next in line, the succession shall pass to the nearest female relative
Article Two
Section 1 All legislative powers are vested in the Parliament of the nation, consisting of a House of Ladies and
a National Assembly
Section 2 The National Assembly shall be composed of four hundred members chosen every third year by the people
of the various constituencies, and the electors for each constituency shall have the qualifications necessary for
the most numerous branch of Parliament
Section 3 No person shall be an Assembly member who has not attained the age of sixteen years, and have been five
years a citizen of the country
Section 4 Constituencies and direct taxes shall be apportioned among the various constituencies according to the
size of their population, which shall be determined by adding to the whole number of citizens, thtee-fifths of all
other persons, according to the results of a census of population, taken annually
Section 5 When a vacancy occurs in a constituency, the Mayor of that authority shall issue a writ for a bye-
election to fill the vacant seat
Section 6 The National Assembly shall choose their Speaker and other officials
Section 7 The House of Ladies shall be composed of one hundred members, chosen directly by the Queen, and
removable only by her executive power
Section 8 No person shall be a memmber of the House of Ladies who has not attained the age of twenty-five years,
and have been ten years a citizen of the country
Section 9 All bills for raising revenue shall originate in the National Assembly, but the House of Ladies may
propose or concur with amendments on other bills
Sectioin 10 All bills which pass both Houses of Parliament shall be submitted to the Queen for her approval. If she
signs them, they become law; if she refuses to sign, she will return the bill to Parliament and ask them to
reconsider. If they return the bill to her again unamended, she may either sign it, order a popular referendum on
the measure, or simply reject it outright.
Section 11 Parliament has the sole power to levy and collect taxes, customs and excise dutiee, to pay the debts
and provide for the common defence of the nation
Article Three
SEction 1 The judicial power of the nation shall be vested in the House of Ladies, and in the lower courts that
it has established and to whom it grants inferior jurisdiction
Section 2 The judicial power shall extend to all cases, in law and equity, arising under the constitution, the
laws of the nation, and treaties made under their authority
Section 3 The judicial power shall extend to controversies in which Gynocracy is a party, and in all cases
affecting ambassadors, or to which the Queendom is a party, the House of Ladies shall have original jurisdiction
Article Four
SEction 1 Parliament, either where three-quarters of the members of both Houses propose it, if a popular
referendum demands it, or if the Queen orders it to be so, shall have the right to make amendments to the
constitution
Article Five
Section 1 The religion of Gynocracry shall be the worship of the Sacred Church of Her Magnificence Queen Linda,
and the practise of other religious beliefs is prohibited within the Queendom
Section 2 The Press and all media within the nation must adhere to the law of the land and the code of conduct
laid down for them and the need for any restrictions upon their actions
Section 3 The right of the people to assemble peacefully, and to petition the government for a redress of
grievances, is recognised subject to the laws against treason, sedition, or the fomenting of hatred or public
disorder
Section 4 The citizens of the nation have the right to keep and bear arms
Section 5 Citizens may not be held in custody without charge, nor have their homes searched without a warrant,
nor their property seized except by a court order, not shall such warrants be issued without probable cause,
supported by oath
Section 6 Citizens required to answer for a capital or otherwise infamous crime shall have the right ot trial by
jury
Section 7 Three verdicts may be given in a court of law: guilty, not guilty and not proven. In the event of a
'not proven' verdict, a retrial may be ordered
Section 8 A citizen in a criminal case has the right not to testify
Section 9 All punishments for criminal offences may only be imposed following the decision of a court of law
Section 10 The rights, duties and privileges of citizenship are freely granted to all females over the age of 12
years, born or having resided in the nation for at least five years
Section 11 Neither slavery, nor involuntary servitude, save as a punishment imposed by a court of law following the
trial and conviction of a defendant, shall be permitted within the Queendom of Gynocracy.
