Does your nation have the death penalty? If so, what method?

Postby Bleckonia » Sat Sep 17, 2011 3:20 pm

Bleckonia has the death penalty for capital murder, murder accompanied by kidnapping or trafficking of 140 grams of heroin, treason, waging agressive war against Bleckonia, terrorism, espionage, and genocide, but it is rarely applied. Inmates have the choice of long drop hanging or firing squad. The firing squad is chosen more often, and consists of a single shooter armed with an AK-47 machine gun. It is mounted on sandbags. The condemned is tied to a wooden post 30-40 feet away, and wears a target pinned over his heart. The shooter aims, and fires 60-70 rounds into the condemned's heart. Death occurs within the first 1-2 seconds of being shot.

"Yes, we do use the death penalty. For murder and treason the usual method is beheading. For more heinous crimes like rape and sexual abuse of a child we use disembowelment. Both methods are done in a public area and televised. We feel that it has more of a deterent effect this way."

Yes.

For most common, injection of VX Gas.

Some who are in the preferable position of the Judge and Jury or civil populace may get a hanging sentence.
In other words, conservatives are generous with their own money, and liberals are generous with other peoples money.

Indeed, we do have the death penalty.

The methods of execution are the following:

Hanging
Electric Chair
Crushed by a giant Sauropod
Torn to pieces by Raptors
Firing Squad
Burned to a crisp by a Dragon
Lethal injection
Being eaten by an Anthro Therapod
Beheading
Death by gassing
Being shot into space

It's the punishment for the most serious crimes in the country, such as treason, pedophilia, arson, acts of terrorism, and other such crimes.

'Aye, Ruskarkand does have a Death Penalty for those who do the most unspeakable of crimes, it's fallen obscure into the laws and punishment of Ruskarkand due to disuse,
The method we use is unique, titled as the "Dragon's Kiss."

The criminal is bound and fully restrained to a chair, only able to breathe through their mouth and move their eyes and fingers.
A Dragoness approaches the criminal, before listing all of the criminals crimes and then uttering a praise.
"You have done the Motherland harm, but even in your unspeakable actions against this nation, it has chosen me to pass on a message: we forgive you."
After the words are spoken, the Dragoness leans forward and gently kisses the criminal on the lips, of which afterwards, the Criminal dies a near-instant death.

Behind the false forgiveness, the Dragoness breathes a shot of concentrated gas into the Criminal, which more or less kills him.

Yes. The methods are as follows, with more severe punishments for more severe crimes. First two punishments are equal.

Electric Chair
Firing Squad
Beheading
Burned at the stake
Torture, then mercy killing
Torture, then burned at the stake

Yes. Usually just by mortal injury as the criminal attempts to escape just a little too slowly. You call it murder; we call it population control, survival of the fittest, or simply justice.

The perception of capital punishment in Minoa, currently suspended, is mixed. The Minoan government is under pressure to consider abolition. Two online petitions on the government website, one calling for the abolition of capital punishment and the other calling for retention reached 100,000 signatures in 48 hours of being published. This means that a debate on the death penalty is expected to be triggered in the Commons debate.

The only method allowed is hanging.

The Isle of Vail does have the death penalty. The traditional 8-man firing squad with high power rifles is used.

Its whatever the Emperor decrees, so it can depend on his mood.

It could be from hanging to a push off the Palace walls to a forced march around the mountain chain of the Nel Alps until death.

Of course! What planetary empire does not have the death penalty? Allowing a child molester to go free after serving time in jail is counter-productive, so.... Why not kill 'em?

We use the following methods to execute heinous criminals:

- Public beheading / quartering
- Public firing squad
- Lethal injection

For those whom do not receive the above three punishments, a lifelong hard-labour detail is issued for various reasons.

Never has since the independence from Britain. However, 12,500 have asked for cheap methods to be used for serial murder with enough evidence, on yoursay.gov.ost, our official citizen forums. Next week, we will be holding a referendum. If the 'Kill and Let Die' campaign wins, our Ecology-Labour Coalition will not be too happy overall. However, President Levitt and Vice President Birgisson decided that it won't be too bad if valid and consistent evidence was given.
