Is there a realistic reason to adopt a 20mm anti-material rifle such as the NTW-20 (or the Vidhwansak in my case because South Africa is our enemy but India is not and can supply us with pretty much the same thing) when the KSVK is already in use?

All three have their uses.

12.7mm or .50 - Dual-purpose light AMR that doubles as a long-range sniper rifle.
14.5mm - Penetrates light armored vehicles. Does not double as a sniper rifle.
20mm - Best at damaging unprotected equipment due to explosive rounds. Does not penetrate armored vehicles. Does not double as a sniper rifle.

Theoretically, they could double as sniper rifles, though I will admit, killing a guy with a 20mm slug is overkill.

Theoretically, they could double as sniper rifles, though I will admit, killing a guy with a 20mm slug is overkill.

You get better probability of killing someone with a .50 BMG (that hits) than with a 20mm (that misses).
20mm has the worst ballistics of the three, it's the slowest and the least accurate. And its explosive effects are not powerful enough to count on near misses.

There's also the whole thing with weight of ammunition and gun size. It's just way past the threshold to carry and use it as a SR, while .50 is borderline.

The percentage dead as a percentage of gas casualties was HIGHER than conventional lethal chemical weapons so... fentanyl has significant weaponization potential as a super fast acting non-persistent agent.

OFC as Allanea pointed out proper treatment would have changed the outcome, but so does proper treatment of any chemical casualty.

This isn't a fair comparison. Fentanyl was in this case deployed by pumping it into an enclosed room, where dozens of people were seated around a the ventilation pipe outlet.

It can't be compared to regular chemical weapon use in the open.

Why are we landing people in APCs?

Because the beach has been secured by forward elements and it's time to deploy large amounts of troops onto the beach which is otherwise inaccesible by larger landing craft.
