Emperor's Standard Lusitanian is the official language, but other forms of Lusitanian such as Old High Lusitanian and West Highland Lusitanian are recognized.

The national language in Naurobia is English but minority languages that are sometimes spoken are Spanish, French, German, Polish, Italian, Dutch, Russian, Arabic, Mende, Hindi, Kazakh, Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, Japanese, and Icelandic

English - Official language of the Federal Government and 17 provinces, joint-official language of 7 other provinces.
Altriscan Callic - Joint-official language of Menissia, Kindare and Sitherland

Quirmian - Joint-official language of Quirmland
Llamedosian Callic - Joint-official language of Llamedos

Our dialect of English includes many spelling and pronounciation differences. This is mainly to do with words whose spelling did not change after the 'Great Vowel Shift of English. For example, the word "thought" is spelt "thaught"; the words "great", "swear" and "steak" are written with an 'e' on the end and "broad" is spelt "broard".

More recent spelling shifts have standardised the use of the "ough" combination:
"I thought that though I had a very rough cough, I still needed to finish driving the plough through the field."
"I thaught that tho I had a very rough cough, I still needed to finish driving the plow thrugh the field."

We have also replaced some past participles with more regular ones, examples being learned, digged, clinged and catched.

English is the official language, though immigrants are not required to learn it. Greek, Italian, and French are also spoken.
