Lyranian, or Rireinutire, is the official and only language spoken in New Lyrane.

[Jankenjin]

All Jankenjin speak Jankengo, our people's language. However, Jankengo has several different dialects (much like Arabic), which are mostly mutually intelligble. The main ones are:

• Northern Standard Jankengo, which is used for most government work and the dialect you will most likely hear on TV and radio.
• Southern Jankengo, found mainly on the Southern Continent.
• Upland Jankengo, actually a collection of many different dialects found in more remote parts of our country.

There is also Classical, or Old Church Jankengo, the language spoken during the time of the ancient Kamuri Empire some two thousand years ago. The Scrolls of Zaakuwan and other ancient religious writings were composed in it, and these days it is only used for liturgical purposes. It most closely resembles Southern Jankengo, which our linguists believe is the least changed of the various dialects.

ACH-SAN's official Federal languages are Spanish and English, spoken by most of the population.

French used to be official until 2009, when it was dropped in Congress. It was relegated to a "recognized language". Other native languages, such as Taíno-Arawak, Carib, Pinchin and Guayola are recognized in their regions.

As ACH-SAN is a federation, the states have the choice to choose their own languages. Only seven, however, have officially declared having an official language, and just use Spanish and English as "de facto".
