The Cybermen are human brains that have been placed in a emotoinless metal shell. Here is our leaders example :http://cybermantra.files.wordpress.com/2010/07/oldtrenchy_steampunk_02.jpg?w=404&h=610

We have no 'main race', considering there's eight different sub-species of Humans, Reptilian, Avian and Extra-Solar. But in total, all are Echelus, Synthetic biotics replaced with highly-durable and strong endoskeletons and with parts of their bodies modified with mechanical equipment.

If you count AI computer programs as an alternate species, then it would mean our nobility is only that of non human. Slaves exist in forms other than humans however, many K'yar, Hyopuon, and Seladors, being kept on several different slave working planets...
D-16, the all powerful AI program, overtaking the humans on an alternate dimension Earth, and ruling the Alternate Dimension Milky Way, with an empire to the trillions of warships and other machines.

Kzin, eh? That's gotta' be fun.
The careful application of terror is also a form of communication.

Corparia is a nation populated primarily by sentient non-humans, although we do have some humans as well. Interaction = acceptance.

Native Tsvarchivans are closely related to humans, but with the distinct feature of slightly webbed hands and feet, as well as the ability to swim underwater for long periods of time.

We have a few non-human species who are official members of BorderWorlds.

The Vortigaunts:The Vortigaunts are an extra-dimensional species that came when the Quantum Rift from the opening of the evacuation gate from our dimension opened. Vortigaunts are shown as a very communal and cultural race, believing in a force that binds the fabric of the universe and each Vortigaunt together, as well as producing a tradition of poetry and music. Vortigaunts also display the ability to summon and command electrical energy without the need for technology. This ability is used for various activities, such as a means of attack, powering electrical equipment, and healing. In appearance, a Vortigaunt is roughly humanoid with two legs and two arms, but has an additional arm protruding from its chest. This extra limb is a feature also found in other bipedal, sapient species from Xen, including the Alien Grunt and the Nihilanth. This similarity, along with other shared features such as red eyes and back-jointed legs, is strongly suggestive of a common ancestry with other intelligent Xen life forms. Apparently, this third arm is used for feeding, as both Vortigaunts and Alien Grunts are often seen bending over slain victims, feeding on it. Vortigaunts have mottled green-brown skin, sharp teeth, and clawed hands. Vortigaunts have a slightly hunched posture, and their faces are dominated by a large, single eye with a maroon sclera and a heterochromic red-yellow iris with a yellow pupil, surrounded by three smaller eyes. They also have a navel and four nipples, suggesting not only that Vortigaunts are placental (give live births), but also that they might be a species that is very similar to Earth mammals. Another interesting feature of the Vortigaunts is that they have no tongue or teeth on their lower jaw, yet they can speak English fluently, albeit with a strange accent and some sort of speech impediment when using S's and R's.

The Advisors: The Advisors are large, pale, grub-like creatures with no discernible facial features, save a gas mask-like device attached to their front end as well as a cybernetic eyepiece on the left-hand side of their "face". Advisors possess a long, prehensile proboscis, which they use to feed. They do this to humans by plunging the proboscis deep into the back of the neck. Exactly what they feed on from humans is unknown, though given the position it is most likely blood or spinal fluid.

Each Advisor wears a skintight olive-green body suit that covers all but both ends of their bodies, with a collar around their "necks" adorned with golden glyphs. Some Advisors also have a pair of spindly black robotic arms strapped to their back that are capable of grabbing and lifting an adult human. Advisors possess considerable telepathic and telekinetic abilities. They are able to communicate telepathically with humans, and launch psychic attacks to ward off unwanted attention. Such attacks take the form of mostly harmless visions which warp the perceptions of those affected. They also evidently cause severe headaches.

The telekinetic abilities of an Advisor allow it to manipulate multiple objects with considerable force. They can completely immobilize several adult humans, crush a metal barrel, or fracture a human skeleton with ease. They presumably also levitate themselves with telekinesis. When they take to the air, loose dust and debris can be seen whirling around them, possibly as a side-effect of the force that levitates them, though this was only added as a method to prevent the player from firing upon them. Though they are able to concentrate on multiple, independent objects, they cannot maintain their abilities under immense pain.

Yes, we have a Factbook, for all those odd facts about this bunch of weird aliens.
