Three, but they aren't strictly divided. The First Chancellor (head of the executive) and the Lord Inquisitor (professional head of the judiciary), as well as the Chancellor of Justice (political head of the judiciary), sit in Parliament (the legislative), and there is therefore a permanent overlap.

One. The Central Institute is both the legislative and executive branch of the government and what counts as the judicial branch is subordinate too it.
The Red Tidean Union or The Union of Red Tide or the RTU or Red Tide. NOT Red Tide2.
Red Tide is an oligarchy, with the ruling body known as the 'Central Institution'. The Director of the Central Institute changes constantly. It follows no political ideology, so stop mistaking it for a communist state, thank you very much.

Executive: The monarch, and Royal Advisory Council.
Legislative: The people, National Assembly, and Royal Leadership Council.
Judicial: The Royal Supreme Court, the Royal Constitutional Court, and the Royal Appeals Court.

The judicial branch may rule a law or action by the other branches null and void, and as such can 'overpower' them.

My central government has an Executive and a Judiciary, but it's dominated by the Legislative Branch.

The Executive is elected by the legislature from the legislature. It functions like the British premiership except that there is no ceremonial head of state. There is also a civil service, but it's subject to the decisions of the legislature. The executive may be removed by a majority of the legislature at any time. (The legislature customarily grants its powers to the executive when it's not in session, but executive decisions are subject to approval by the legislature.)

The central judiciary may not overturn laws passed by the legislature, except when a law contradict the Treaty of Portsmouth, the Constitution of the Allied States. Otherwise, the central judiciary's role is to interpret laws passed by the national legislature or a state government.

The legislature has supreme authority in the Allied States. When a majority of the legislature (a single, 200 member Assembly of the Allied States) passes a bill, it immediately becomes law. The legislature customarily grants executive power to its presiding officer (The President of the Allied States) and grants interpretation powers to the judiciary (The Supreme Judiciary Council), but may remove those powers whenever they wish. Their only constraints are listed in the constitution (The Treaty of Portsmouth).

Does One Branch Overpower The Other? Yes. In practice the Judiciary and Royal Branches are the same, as the King is head of both

What Does Each Branch Do In Government?
Royal: Creates laws, signs laws, enforces laws, controls the military
Legislative: Advises the Royal branch on Laws and such decisions
Judiciary: Determines the rulings in Court Cases, led by the King.

How Many Branches Of Government Does Your Nation Have? Within the Texan Federal Union there are three branches of government.
The Three are the National Executive, National Legislative, and Provincial Executive

Does One Branch Overpower The Other? The National Executive branch holds more power overall than the other two.

What Does Each Branch Do In Government? The National Executive Branch is composed of the Governor, and his cabinet. They perform all the same tasks that a federal republics executive branch would perform.

The National Legislative branch is the legislature of the Union. 20 Legislators are elected from each of the 5 provinces, and vote on various bills, orders, etc.

The Provincial Executive branch is made up of 5 Provincial governors from the five provinces. They meet with the National Governor to discuss matters within each province, and to make limited decisions within their provinces along the lines of education, budgeting, etc.

Executive: Legislatorium*
Legislative: The people, and the Legislatorium*
Judicial: The Court of Law, and The Court of Solutions
The Court of Law enforces the law. The Court of Solutions solves arguments.

*The Legislatorium is divided up in departments and ministries, each with different jobs.

Technically, three.

The Executive Branch: centered around the Chancellors and their sprawling bureaucracies. Enforces laws.

The Legislative Branch: Congress, other lawmakers, and in cases of referenda (which can be held for most anything lawmakers desire), the People.

The Judicial Branch: The three parallel court circuits, headed respectively by the Supreme Court, the Holy Marriage Tribunal, and the Grand Alcoholic Tribunal.

Some scholars consider a fourth, or even a fifth and sixth in some cases.

The Chancellery: the Chancellors are TurtleShroom's head of state. They have numerous powers over all three traditional branches of government and can micromanage certain affairs of state down to the street level. For example, as legislators, they can propose bills to Congress and force speedy votes on bills they like. In the judiciary, they can void a Supreme Court case (but not HMT or GAT), but the void can be overridden by a majority vote by the legislature.

The People: it is a longstanding and ancient TurtleShroomer tradition to practice referenda. Lawmakers are encouraged- and sometimes rewarded -for sending controversial issues, like additional taxes, homosexual regulations, and SPLOST, to the people. When an Amendment to the Constitution of TurtleShroom is sent for ratification, it is a majority vote of the People that make it TurtleShroomer law. ...-and, when one-seventh of the People sign a petition, they can repeal a law and annul a Supreme Court case. ...-but the most powerful ability of the people is the holy act of recall. ANY PUBLIC SECTOR WORKER- no matter how powerful -CAN BE RECALLED, even the Chancellors. All the people need to do is get a petition with enough signatures. Congress sets this, but they are Constitutionally forbidden from setting "unfair" recall limits.

The Military: TurtleShroom's Finest are infamous for their relative autonomy and secrecy in a government that, except for them, is an open book or a glass wall. They can do most things without permission from any branch, but to be deployed, they need higher power's permission. They are protected from whistle-blowers and other means of prying into their secrecy. Everyone in TurtleShroom respects the military and few ever question it. Generally, when a soldier says "jump", a civilian says "how high?" without asking why. Soldiers are considered noble, "epic", and trustworthy by virtue of their position, and this is prone to abuse: something the military doesn't tolerate.

How Many Branches Of Government Does Your Nation Have?
In theory, three. They are Executive (Presidential Council), Legislative (Lower Level) and Judiciary (National Courts). Together, they form the National Congress (Congreso Nacional) but the two executive and legislative branches are referred to as the National Assembly (Asamblea Nacional)

Does One Branch Overpower The Other?
The Presidential Council has the most power.

What Does Each Branch Do In Government?
The Presidential Council administers the provinces and passes legislation into law or returns it to the Lower Level for ammendements. The Lower Level controls the government ministries and makes the laws and legislation which is passed by the President. The National Courts is administered by the Ministry of Justice and controls the district, provincial and national courts in Costa Fiero.

How Many Branches Of Government Does Your Nation Have?
3: Executive, Judicial, and Legislative.

Does One Branch Overpower The Other?
The Utenene may veto a bill once, but if the legislature passes an identical bill, she must sign it.
The Supreme Court may strike a law that they find to be unconstitutional.

What Does Each Branch Do In Government?
Executive branch: head of state, or Utenene 'elder sibling of shared parentage' is elected by direct vote every four years. The incumbent may run for re-election once. The Utenene appoints a cabinet of ministers to assist her and head the government ministries. All ministers must be approved by the legislature.

Judicial branch: district courts, appeals courts, Supreme Court.

Legislative branch: The legislature consists of two houses, the Chamber of Elders (or Senate) and the Chamber of Deputies. Deputies have a four-year term, senators eight-year. Each province sends two senators to the capital, for a total of 144 senators. The number of deputies depends on the size of population in each province, but each province returns at least three deputies. There are 750 deputies in total. Most provinces have direct election for senators, but some of them have the provincial legislature elect the senators. Nationwide general elections are held every four years, for the whole Chamber of Deputies and half the Chamber of Elders, as well as the Utenene. The first runner-up in the Utenene election becomes the Speaker of the Chamber of Elders.

How Many Branches Of Government Does Your Nation Have?
The Querinian Government consists of three branches: the Executive, the Legislature, and the Judiciary, as embodied in the Council of Ministers, the Central Diet, and the High Court, respectively. However, all three are fully realized and given authority by the Querinian Sovereign, who may dissolve these bodies at will.

Does One Branch Overpower The Other?
No; the Sovereign uses the branches in a way that balances their powers using his authority as incarnation of the State.

What Does Each Branch Do In Government?
The Council of Ministers acts as the hands of the Sovereign; the Ministers are delegated all the powers assigned with enforcing the law and representing the State. The Central Diet introduces, amends, and revises laws that may be presented to the Sovereign for approval, as many other legislatures do. The High Court maintains the rule of law by convicting and punishing those who act against it.
