Today, the Declaration of a New Order was signed into existence by Emperor Nicholas Caeus, the Leader and President of the Grand Republic. That Declaration announced a policy of Multi-Culturalism and tolerance of all people, regardless of nationality, race, gender, sexuality, creed, or religion. In order to achieve this, our government requests that your nation opens an Embassy in our capitol city of Columbia (Population: 115 million people), the center of Noravean politics, culture, and economy. The addition of your nation's embassy will ensure close communications with the Noravean government, as well as an effort to improve awareness of your culture in Noravea's education system, and general population. The opening of the Embassy can also benefit your nation economically, opening the road for trade to be introduced between our nations, as well as open a tourist market for your nation via your Embassy. Location of Your Embassy
Noravea's capitol city of Columbia has many sights and wonders, and your Embassy would get a lot of attention depending on where it is placed. Prior to the rise of the Grand Republic a year and a half ago, an Embassy would have typically been outside of the main city, due to the then racist government of the period (Which seldom allowed an Embassy to be opened). With the rise of Nicholas Caeus to power, and the introduction of democracy, we wish for your Embassies to be given some of the prime locations in our capitol, so denizens from your nation know their government is present in the city, and for our citizens to be away of your culture.
The three primary locations we would like to showcase to you is International Square, Santino Street, and Enfield Plaza, which are all major areas in the city.
International Square was the location of the massive Palace of the World, which was constructed several years ago, in the hopes that Columbia would be the center of World Assembly activity. Along the square, 30 massive office buildings were constructed in the hopes of being Embassies for major powers. The attempt failed, and the Palace of the World became a museum of International History and Culture, and a monument to Multi Culturalism. It has thus become an appropriate place for your embassy. With this location, you may customize your Embassy, for example, if your nation is a dominantly Islamic or Muslim nation, a Minaret may be added, or if you are of Eastern culture, your architecture may be modified to fit your home nation's architecture.
Santino Street currently sits 5 blocks from the Capitol Complex, and is a major tourist attraction due to the series of major shopping centers that run down it. Along the street is the Department of Culture, the Department of Foreign Affairs, and the Department of Transportation. Your Embassy in this area would likely get a large amount of tourists, and your Embassy may open a store front to sell cultural items to our citizens. Your Embassy may be modified architecturally to fit your nation's culture, but it is a little more restricted due to space limitations.
Enfield Plaza is the last available location, and is in the more suburban area of Columbia. In the Plaza are largely local shops, and largely local people who are friendly and open to anyone. Embassies are usually built much larger, but will get less attention from the population as a whole. Modifications based on culture can be massive if requested. The land plots for Embassies are currently empty, so if you wish for an Embassy here, send a photo with your application.
