The Kalasparata-Evora Empire (ATTN:Savedland)

Postby Kalaspia-Shimarata » Sat Jul 30, 2011 6:39 am

Dear:The Leader of our Northern neighbours, Savedland
From:President Stellios Cityrailsaints of Kalaspia-Shimarata

Dear:Our fellow Savedlish, I just had an idea, and a national referendum said it was a fantastic idea. The Kalashim Kremelem Zemuhume Siumuluk has died in a car crash. Whilst the nation is mourning his death, his son and twin sister will take over. The babies were born in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. His son David was born in Ipsola on the way to the hospital, and Kremelem's daughter was born 10 minutes after David and his daughter Jessica was born born 10 minutes later after they crossed the Ipsola-Tserba boarder and thus David was born in Kalaspia and Jessica in Shimarata. This is when my idea came into it that David should be the King of Kalaspia and Jessica be the Queen of Shimarata and the people should select either the monarch of Kalaspian or the monarch of Shimarata to be the Kalashim and the Empori (a Kalashi word being a unisex term for Emporer or Empress) of Kalaspia-Shimarata, as selected by the people.

we also had the idea that we should combine our monarchies, exactly like the Byzantine Empire, exept rather than having the one capital dominate over the other, we have 2 EQUAL capitals where the people decide whether they want the Sovereign of Kalaspia-Shimarata or the Sovereign Savedland to be the Mega Sovereign who will just make sure to be the over all Emprori and head of The Kalasparata-Evora Empire. We can work out spacifics later in this thread (rather sending millions of TGs back and forth)
Our Empire's offical languages shall be English, Greek, Kalaspian, Shimaratan and Savedlish, and like Byzantine, where on one side they spoke Greek and the other Latin, on one both sides, the people English and Greek but one side they speak Savedlish and on the other speak Kalaspian and Shimaratan, and despite the fact that we are united, we each have seperate currencies. So what do you think?
Kalaspia-Shimarata's flag represents the Union between K&S. The dark blue represents the sea and the light blue represents the sky. In Kalashi language considers light blue and dark blue to be different colours. England colonised, and unified K&S, between 1774 and 1953, and English, light blue and dark blue are considered to be the same colour. Therefore, the contrast between dark blue and light blue represents the union, but the differences between K&S where as blue being two but simultaneously one colour represents K&S being two, but simultaniously one entity. The opposite to the symmetry represents the unity and indipendance of K&S, whilst also representing the Kalashi culture of opposite symmetry.KS is 75% Christian, hence the cross.

Dear Kalaspia-Shimarata.

We are flattered by your loyalty to your allies and friendlyness. You are a true example to us.
We don't know what to think of this yet and we need some clarification of a few matters.
Does this mean that Savedland and Kalaspia-SHimarata will totally merge creating a new sovereign state or this will be more like a union which will cause minimal buraeucratic involvment in transportation and economic exchanges between savedland and Kalaspia-Shimarata? Also, are you implying to just merge our royal families into one, based in neutral grounds that whould have equal power over two sovereing states (you and us)? Much like the british royal family has power over both UK and Australia. Please clarify.

Thank you.
The United Federated Districts of Hevora. Or Savedland, as it is often hideously anglicized...

We are a large, free, powerful and beautiful country with a very long history that stretches back thousands upon thousands of years.

We are a union of many nations and cultures. The most dominant and shared by almost everyone is that of the Hevoran (Savedlish) People. It has its roots lying in an ancient creole culture that emerged from extensive contact between a bronze age hellenic and norse civilization which evolved convergeantly on an fictional, alternate universe Earth.

Bit weird, I know. But we're a lovely culture if you care enough to get to know us! :D

Think of the Byzantine Empire. When you had 2 emporers, the one of Rome and the one of Constantinople. Each were both in power at the same time, but one had power over one half of the empire and the other had power of the other half

Excuse me if I am wrong but I believe that, despite the common heritage, the roman empire was split into to completly sovereingn states. The western part did not last for long and broke up into smaller nation that would eventually become todays western european nations. The eastern part (byzantium) was completly independed from the western one. Byzantium lasted much much longer and was eventually concuered by the ottomans in 1453. The diplomatic relations between the western part and the wastern were the same as between any othen sovereign states.

I am very sorry if I am wrong but I believe this was what happened.

Yea, but they were both under the Byzantine Empire (You know with the double headed eagle, one representing Constantinople and the other Rome)

Yes, but with seperate currencies and a few other changes, we'll have a Mega Sovereign who will be the over-all head of state of the entire empire whilst each country has their own head of state, like Australia has the queen and the governor-general, exept the difference is that the head of state of each country will NOT represent the Mega Sovereign like the govenor-general represents the queen

Hmm... Sounds interesting.

Though, we have been thinking of sugesting the creation of a union similar to the EU. We could also invite other nations to it. Members could chose to either use the uninon's common currency or not.
Minimal requirements will be needed for massage through our borders. Nations will keep total sovereignity but much like you suggested, there will be one higher governor (or council) that would answer for the union as a whole. What do you think?

Exactly that! I don't care if we invite other nations. I don't like the idea of a common currency. I want the kalaspi as my currency and there will be too much controversy toward the nations that don't change them
