Brief bit about Kalumba: We were founded in 1890, became independent in 1953. We have been in a civil war with a communist minority since 1962. The natives have been able to vote since 1979 but are still unrepresented. Racism is only very minor the two cultures of settlers and tribes rarely mix and the Chiefs all have a place in Parliament. Nation Name: The Libertarian Zionist Republic of Vecherd.

Brief History: The nation of Vecherd was founded in 1063 and has since had an extreme population growth. Through the ages Vecherd have controlled several colonies and in the early 18th century started a long progress of decolonization, Vecherd still controls two colonies. In the early 20th century Vecherd became a more Right-wing nation and also more Libertarian. Vecherd is now a first world country.

Political Philosophy: Libertarianism, Zionism, Soft Nationalism, Free Market Environmentalism.

Position on Slavery: Negative.

Brief History: The nation of Greto was founded in 1764 and after an Revolutionary war was free from it's repressive empire that it would later go on and destroy hundreds of years later. There have been multiple successors from the original government that was known as the First Republic of Greto. Since the 1950s Greto had begun focusing on it's Military mostly to use as an effective tool in global affairs that concerned Greto. It now has an extremely large and technologically advanced Military capable of striking most parts of the globe.

Brief History: The land of Goldsaver was united in 1400, under an Emperor; it rapidly expanded, taking colonies wherever possible; most colonies were given independence after a few decades. Goldsaver transformed into a Republic in 1990. Today, the Republic is an extremely liberal nation, liberty treasured as the most valuable thing on the planet.

Position on Slavery: The most vile and disgusting thing on the face of the earth; it is every civilized human's duty to do whatever it takes to end this blight on humanity.

Political Philosophy: Absolute Monarchism and Imperialism, Capitalism, Expansionism.
Position on Slavery: Highly Negative
What would your relations be towards Kalumba be (friendly, angry for becoming independent, carnivorous-want us back, indifferent): Mostly indifferent, but the issue of "reclaiming lost territory" would be brought up in the Noble Court occasionally, and a moderate group of citizens would want to reclaim the land.

Nation Name: The Peoples Anarcho-Technocracy of Lyncanthropia

Brief History: The nation was stablished in 10751 HE Divided into Tribal Councils. In 11966 HE the Tribes United into a single Major Tribe. In 11970 HE the Nationalist Revolution began to stop the dictatorial tribal regime. The Nation is now divided in 35 Provinces plus 6 more Provinces over sea ruled by the people (Peoples Provincial Council).

Political Philosophy: Liberal, Anarchic, Technocratic, Environmentalist

Position on Slavery: Illegal and punishable on Lyncanthropia.

Nation Name: The Commonwealth of Norvenia

Brief History: Founded in the early 1800s by Puritans, Quakers, Anglicans, and other Christian groups from the early United States who wished to establish a more just and godly society. Located on a large (fictional) island in the northern Pacific Ocean, about the size of Texas. Saw brief imperial expansion throughout the Pacific area from 1885-1920; this would be when Kalumba would have been settled. Released colonies gradually in mid-20th century as democratic Christian Socialism came became the dominant political philosophy. Recently passed the O'Donnel Doctrine, spurring armed intervention in Aryas regime and Sremski Okrug.

Political Philosophy: Christian Socialism. God calls upon all people to give freely to their neighbors and to help create a just and loving society for all His children. The best way to do that is by high taxes used to guarantee everyone three meals a day, a decent home, a free public education up through the university level, and if necessary a government-paid job. Christ gave everything to the poor; the things listed above are the least we can do.

Position on Slavery: Strongly and steadfastly against it. Slavery is an abomination that is opposed to everything Norvenia stands for, and its existance is a vicious cancer on the face of the world.

What would your relations be towards Kalumba be (friendly, angry for becoming independent, carnivourous-want us bacl, indifferent): Friendly, probably. We let our colonies go because we decided that it would be morally wrong to keep them, so there would be no hard feelings. And we're always happy to see another democracy in the world.

Anything else you think would be relevent: I RP here a great deal, so complicated foreign relations and frequent contact on International Incidents would not be a problem.

Nation Name: Democratic Republic of Lancov, though during our imperial days we were known as the Second Lancovian Empire.
Brief History: A union of ethnically and culturally similar tribes formed the First Lancovian Empire in antiquity, which collapsed during a Roman Catholic crusade in 1365. The invaders were evicted after two years of occupation, and the Lancovian Confederation was birthed. The Confederation took up the imperial sword once more in 1400, founding the Second Lancovian Empire, which ruled until 1875 when the last imperial territory was lost and the crown entered personal union with the crown of Burgestan, becoming the Royal Union of Burgestan and Lancov. Dissatisfied with this arrangement, a military coup allied with a popular revolution overthrew the imperial family and founded the Democratic Republic of Lancov in 1911.

Political Philosophy: Nation founded on democratic principles, with a high amount of social and economic freedoms for the people.

Position on Slavery: Violently opposed. (Though it was legal during imperial rule.)

What would your relations be towards Kalumba be: Positive. Lancov is sociable with it's former territories, and bears them no ill will, as the Lancovian people revolted against the same government the territories separated from.

Anything else you think would be relevent: We are a Slavic, mostly Orthodox Christian nation.

Nation Name: The Free Realm of the Imperial Federacy

Brief History: The first major civilization of the region of Transcendence, it quickly developed into a major power, swarming over less developed nations and primitive tribes. At the time it was named the Incorporated States of the Imperial Federacy. Imperial conquest was expanding alarmingly. Few lands remained independent. Conquered territories were given few rights and indigenous people were enslaved. The government still insisted itself as a democratic federation. Fed up with the cruelty and lies, the occupied territories revolted, joined together, and defeated the Incorporated States in a war for freedom. Now, as civil blood-bath survivors, five provinces still remained loyal and led a reform. Now the Free Realm, the government turned into a confederacy instead of a federation, improved civil rights, and recognized the independence of all former territories.

Political Philosophy: Tolerance is key

Nation Name: The Republic of Byer
Brief History: The Kingdom of Byer was founded in 1170CE. In the 18th and 19th centuries it amassed a large empire which included many nations across the globe. However by the early 20th century these colonies were becoming quite unprofitable, and one by one they were granted independence. Following a vast financial crash in the early 1960's the people of Byer - frustrated at their nation's newfound impotence on the world stage and the huge unemployment they faced - rose in revolution in 1964. This revolution, completed in 1966, established the Republic of Byer. The early political scene of the Republic was dominated by the leader of the revolution Dr. Peter Bull, who was an iron-fisted dictator until his death in 1997. Following his death his sucesssor was persuaded to introduce democratic reforms, sanctioning the creation of an opposition party (the Labour Party) and writing a new constitution. The nation today is not quite at first world standard but is constantly improving and recovering from years of oppression, with a recent trend towards greater personal liberty in the nation.
Political Philosophy: Equality above all.
Position on Slavery: Terrible.

Nation Name: The Confederate Republics of the Southron Nation

Brief History: CRSN is a confederation of sovereign republics tied together via economic trade and peaceful association. Winning its independence from Union coercion more than 150 years ago, the then styled Confederacy collapsed soon after in a fit of subsequent secessions and invasions by the Union. Following the worldwide convulsions in the wake of the Great War, Southrons demanded gov'tal reforms and revolutions. They had born silent witness to the imperialism of the Northron Union as young boys were sent "over there" to destroy the historical aristocracy in Europa. Southrons had watched the destruction of socialism and communism lay waste to the regimes installed by the victorious Allies. Although a neutral member of the Entante, the CRSN new that one day, the imperialists to the north would once more salivate at the thought of conquest. Political reorganization destroyed the former Confederacy and left a Southron Nation of independent armed republics. A strong centralized gov't was abolished and politicians gained infamy as a criminal class of leeches and despoilers. It was a wholesale revolution against politics.

Today, the CRSN is a Nation of more than a billion souls armed to the teeth. Historical and family traditions are the bulwark upon which the entire edifice of Southron culture is built. Each Republic within the CRSN maintains its own military, its own currency, its own domestic institutions, and its own gov't structure. The only field of influence that the federal gov't of the CRSN maintains is that of foreign policy. And even then, the branches of gov't are severely antagonistic towards one another. It is not an uncommon sight to find Politicians bickering and battling in the streets, hanging from trees, or being arrested for duals.

Political Philosophy: Republicanism, Capitalism, anti-federalism

Position on Slavery:the CRSN has no official statement on slavery other than to emphasize that such an institution is morally repugnant, but economically necessary at certain times within the growth of a nation. It therefore behooves the more developed nations of the world to act in concert to peacefully guide those nations willing to accept their guidance beyond the point of economic development in which slavery exists. International trade will end the pariah of slavery, warfare will only alter its effects.

Anything else you think would be relevent: Nearly complete autonomy except in cases of foreign adventurism. Such would be prohibited. Any foreign relations Kalumba would wish to engage in would be with the love by the CRSN gov't. You could expect our support in most cases.

[Lolzieristan]

The "motherland" is actually a confederacy of nations within my region that no longer exists, just so you know. However, Aleksegrad thinks they're the reincarnated version of it, so they still carry on relations as if they were the USSR.
NationConfederacy Name: The United Stanian Socialist Region
Brief History: Founded in 1911 by a group of radical Aleksian communists, the USSR dreamed of controlling the entire region. It began expanding into neighboring Lolzieristan to the south, and from there it began to permeate all of the nearby countries through trade, propaganda, planted government officials, and even war. Kandaristan in the south, Voroska to the west, Al-Sadria and Mosulistan to the east, and Shikaristan to the northeast all joined the USSR by 1931. There was one obstacle in the way of the Red Party, the government organization that presided over the Stanian Region: the Articles of Stanian Unity. These placed most of the legislative power in the hands of the Sub-Regional Governing Bodies, which were the individual nations, and only gave the Red Party policing powers. Undaunted, they began to abuse this power to make themselves all-powerful, and soon it was a full-fledged dictatorship. After years of infighting and corrupt jockeying for power, the first blow came in the Kandar-USSR War of 1971, when a group of fundamentalist militants overthrew the puppet government and began making some definitively anti-Red Party decisions. Infuriated, the USSR sent troops from all of its militaries to put down the revolution, but the militants, who had declared a jihad against the Communist system, were crafty and unrelenting. They hid in caves, ambushed convoys, and generally conducted guerilla warfare for two long years. The Lolzis, sensing their chance in 1973, began separating themselves from the USSR, and eleven members of the Lolzi SRGB began meeting in the city of Dahvat, where they plotted against their Socialist masters. The Red Party caught wind of this, and they raided the meeting, automatically sentencing all eleven men and women to death. They became martyrs for the people of Lolzieristan, becoming known as the Dahvat Eleven, and full-fledged revolutions sparked within the year. The USSR's joint military was crumbling by this point, and they were holding on for dear life as the entire system fell down around them. All nations but Aleksegrad threw off the Red Party's yoke, and it still sulks in Aleksegrad to this day, plotting its revenge.

Position on Slavery: Political prisoners are sent to the gulags; no commercial slavery though.

Anything else you think would be relevent: I can always rework the history if you'd like. I can move these events to be earlier, but not later, Lolzieristan's revolt has to be before 1979. Also, you won't have to be geographically located near my region, imperialism is more common in my little pretend world here than in the real 1970's.
