What species of sentients predominate your planet? Are they human? Humanoid? Non-human? In addition, are there any apartheid / segregation laws which limit a minority specie's access to society, or is your planetary civilization generally open to foreign species of non-native sentients?
Largely due to our physical isolation in the galaxy, we have no recorded instances of off-planet immigration. Any foreign civilization who happens to stumble upon our planet, though, would be expected to conform to our post-Terran cultural norms as guided by our Abrahamic faiths.
