About as centralized as a liberal democracy can be. In the minds of the founders of Actalius, decentralized governments lead to regional oligarchy, which leads to abuse of power and the people. This was the case with the theocracy we split from in the early 18th century.

We are decentralized, for our founders believed in the sovereignty of individual states and territories and also believed that it ensured that the power of the national government is more limited compared to that of a centralized nation.

As a unitary state Tsvarchi's central government exerts absolute control over all of its boroughs and overseas territories, only allowing the semi-independent status of the overseas territories as a polite gesture that can be overturned at its whim.

Largely decentralised due to the fact that many of those who live in the provinces felt that the central government couldn't provide adequate services. Valcluse was decentralised during the late 1970's and the central government handed over administration of many things to provincial governments.

Today, the provincial governments control:
-Education
-Healthcare (mostly private and some public)
-Infrastructure
-Services
-Transport
-Finances

Each of these is controlled by a Provincial Department. For example, the Department of Education in the Province of Alpes-Maritimes. It answers to the Ministry of Education which provides basic standardised legislative framework which allows provincial governments some flexibility in administering their own education departments without being completely different from another province.

Very decentralised. The national government does little more than national defense and settling interprefecture disputes. It does have a hand in some other things, but not a very big one.

I guess you'd call it centralized. Mama runs everything, after all.

Very centralized. The only reason we have the Continent-States and Provinces is purely for efficiency in governance, seeing as having the Spire have to run everything directly would be a waste of its work potential.

the most local councils are considered the highest, with successively broader area councils being seen as existing primarily to coordinate them.
pretty much the only exception is the national level insuring and enforcing the right of everyone to leave the place where they are and enter another.
regional demi-councils have over riding authority only within there very specifically designated interest activities, such as the regional transport, communication and energy inter-ties.

electrical power generation is also decentralized, while transportation by contrast, tends almost universally to be public.

The Sovereign Empire is highly centralized in that the power of local and national government devolves directly from Him or Her. At any point the Sovereign may rule the Empire and its many states by decree alone without interference from either the Imperial Parliament or the local legislative bodies / court systems. The only surviving bulwark against the excessive use of Imperial authority is simple custom and the Church.

Maolandia practice Democratic Centralism according to Chairman Mao
"Education in democracy must be carried on within the Party so that members can understand the meaning of democratic life, the meaning of the relationship between democracy and centralism, and the way in which democratic centralism should be put into practice. Only in this way can we really extend democracy within the Party and at the same time avoid ultra-democracy and the laissez-faire which destroys discipline."

Most large, centralized governments are extremely inefficiant and impersonal. Speranzia has a federal government to oversee the smaller regional governments, but they ulimately have autonomy as do the smaller provinces and municipalities within them.

Soigo is a centralized nation. The provinces are basically branch offices of the national government, they have no say in politics. Except for the official languages: the national government only speaks Soigo, but you can address your local government office (in the provincial capital) in your native language if you belong to one of the three recognized ethnic minorities.
The townships and cities have some degree of autonomy, though, so not everything is decided at the national level.

A combination of both: While Fearless Leader possesses almost absolute power, it is rarely used and the country tends to mostly run itself at the local level, and intervention from above is rarely required, as this would mean someone isn't doing their job properly and consequences will result.

Neither. JJ Place's Judaical System is centralized to the Capital, with one unifying law to all of JJ Place. JJ Place, however, lacks a Government, leading to decentralized societies within the context of the law of the society of JJ Place.

If you do not count the king that rules with absolute power so are the federation rather decentralized with local nobilities ruling each individual realms and representing them at the royal court.

The kingdom is rather decentralised, as each Province and subsequent Counties are responsible for providing all government services themselves. However, only the national parliament can pass legislation, so I selected centralised.

Centralisation is the main part of our culture
Kalaspia-Shimarata's flag represents the Union between K&S. The dark blue represents the sea and the light blue represents the sky. In Kalashi language considers light blue and dark blue to be different colours. England colonised, and unified K&S, between 1774 and 1953, and English, light blue and dark blue are considered to be the same colour. Therefore, the contrast between dark blue and light blue represents the union, but the differences between K&S where as blue being two but simultaneously one colour represents K&S being two, but simultaniously one entity. The opposite to the symmetry represents the unity and indipendance of K&S, whilst also representing the Kalashi culture of opposite symmetry.KS is 75% Christian, hence the cross.

We only have one governmental organization, so in a sense our government is centralized.

However, we have private police and arbitration at the lower levels of our legal system, and that amounts to a massive decentralization of power.

There is no national government to centralize or decentralize. As far as things like centers, there's plenty of that. For example, centers for commerce and spirituality are some of the major de facto centers where people go from time to time. But it's not like that's the only place to go for those things and more, so to each their own.
