Branches
Kelwonan Army
The Kelwonan Army is the oldest, established in 1512, of the three branches and is under the command of Field Marshal Peter Strawson who acts as the Army's representative in the Ministry of Defence. As of July 2011, there are 396,968 men and women serving in the Kelwonan Army. They are all volunteers due to the fact that conscription is only allowed in the most desperate times of war. As with all other branches, the Kelwonan Army lost a fifth of it's strength because of the Military Reduction Act but only half it's funding.
Kelwonan Navy
The Kelwonan Navy is the second oldest, established in 1658, of the three branches and is under the command of Grand Admiral Graham Young who acts as the Navy's representative in the Ministry of Defence. As with all other branches, the Kelwonan Navy lost a fifth of it's strength because of the Military Reduction Act but only half it's funding.
