In the days of dictatorship, Anglynova had an impressive highway system that linked all of the major cities and villages. However, artillery fire from the Revolution left many roads badly damaged, and retreating Loyalist forces destroyed bridges to prevent the People from liberating cities. However, the current government is working hard to modernize the highway system. All bridges have been repaired, and significant advances have been made.

Roadways

Total: 160,000 KM

It varies. Private roads in heavily trafficked areas are generally good. Roads in the wilder regions and government owned roads are mediocre to bad.
Wait an hour, and it will be now again

Road conditions in Tsvarchi are exactly what one might expect in a city-state with billions of vehicles and over 3 million miles of roadway; various conditions dependent on road use and location. Tsvarchi's roadways are overall in good condition because of a significantly funded transportation department which is tasked with road maintenance, and although when you have over 3 million miles of paved roads and over a billion cars traveling on those millions of miles things won't always be smooth and perfect, for the most part it is. The government is quick to patch up any potholes or significant safety hazards which occur because people as well as cars have to traverse the streets, but it varies depending on street and location.

Western Tsvarchi tends to have better road conditions than eastern Tsvarchi, and northern Tsvarchi tends to have better road conditions than southern Tsvarchi. Some of the worst kept roads in Tsvarchi are in the borough of Cuerak, whereas the best kept roads overall are in Darkaan. Tsvarchi's entire roadway network is repaved every decade or so, at a cost of about $100 billion.

Most urban roads and autoroutes are paved and are kept in good condition to permit high speed limits. However, some urban roads are not paved but covered in cobblestones which are probably more than 100 years old. Most rural roads are also kept in good condition, with the exception of small country lanes which are usually in poor condition. Each canton is responsible for the maintenance of the roads in their specific area.

The roads in Alehkkmincon aren't paved, but they are laid-down plate by plate. It isn't made of black asphalt, for it is orthombic boron tarmacs, making Alehkkmincon a country with one of the smoothest and cleanest roads in the world. Since it's pretty expensive, these roads are only located with urban centres, and anywhere outside a city is a asphalt freeway, or in some cases, a dirt terrain road.

Generally, our major roads are kept in good condition. While a few of our minor roads/back roads may not be kept in the best condition.

The upkeep if infrastructure is a constant job, given that nearly the entire population of Actalius uses mass-transit 2-3+ times a day. Both government and private contractors work around the clock to keep our citizens on the move.
