generally, pop is the most popular genre in New Mojopahit. however, pop-dangdut is considered popular in rural area while dance-pop and pop-rock is more popular in urban area.

marylin manson, slipknot, kiss..and other satan-worship style band are frowned upon. while government not yet ban this kind of band, public tends to boycott this kind of music.
