In all respects, Rellant, an anarchist city state, does not have a formal military. They do, however, have a small but elite and highly effective commando unit, who take anti terrorism measures and serve the will of the people domestically and abroad. A full on invasion would likely be impossible to prevent, but that's why Rellant has a strict standing on neutrality.

Insurgent warfare, partisan and commando operations. The official dogma even calls for infiltration and widespread assaults by any means. Basically we turn the enemie's own land into "vietghanistan" and make his life hell. (and now imagine what happens to any invader.) We even stockpiled parts and methods for making "less-improvised" explosive devices and the like: Attack us and you will propably declare victory quite soon - but your real problems have just begun. And even if that won't work: the last thing we do when you have won is nuke you just for the lulz.

Our military pays significant attention to logistics and utilize 3rd and 4th generation warfare tactics.

Of course, technology isn't ignored either. We aim to equip our forces with the best quality of weapons for a reasonable price, focusing most on defensive capabilities and preserving the lives of our men and women.

Our mechanised infantry and excellent marksmanship, mostly. The Novariean Army has a disproportionately high amount of IFV/APC borne units and designated marksmen/snipers compared to your average RL 1st world country, and high emphasis is placed on making every shot count.

Our training, equipment and logistics are also good.

Weaknesses may include the relatively small size of our military in comparison to some other nations, and the fact that we haven't been involved in an actual war for quite a while, so while the soldiers are all well trained, many of them lack extensive battlefield experience.

What does your nation's military excel in? Technology, ranged combat, tactics, and pre-planned strategies.

If there are some things are military is known for it is heavy body armour, not letting our soldiers have any fun, and sucking at melee combat. Despite this, our military (due to technophilia in the government) is extremely advanced, excels at ranged combat and marksmanship, has a very well trained officer corps, and has planned for literally hundreds of different scenarios, in particular we have spent hundreds of billions over 50 years setting up defensive positions along our southern border to defend against our larger southern neighbors.

By setting up a massive defensive line to the west, mountains in the middle, and a narrow area to the west between the mountains and the coast, we can force our enemy to fight well dug in forces, against light infantry and the highlanders in the mountains, or in a confined area where we can use massive amounts of artillery and well armoured mechanized forces to grind them into dust.

Our military is under-sized, under-funded, under-equipped, and hasn't been involved in a real war for almost a century.

Which is why we have AA and SAMs you try to use cluster bombs or bunker busters and we shoot you out of the sky. Also, my military is quite focused on air superiority.

The Ruridovan Military excels in the size of it's Air Force, Army Air Corps, Naval Flight Corps, and creating technological advances for airplanes, helicopters, and UAVs. And strategy. Lots of strategy.

In short we excel in death from above.

Logistics is the main part my military excels in, but each branch excels in a certerain area to.

Infantry- excels in guerrilla war and counter insurgencey. On the offensive they conduct small raids and spolier attackers on the enemy till he is to the point where our small millitary can win in a conventionall war.

Navy-We have a submarine fetish and have 30 regular attack subs and 2 nuclear SSBNs. Also the Naval infantry are considered a elite force within the Holy Forces, and they excel in small scale raids.

Airforce-Close air support is what the airforce excels in. The aiforce would get destroyed within the first couple of days of fighting a larger nation's airforce since our planes are generation 3 fighterjets. We have 20 gunships that we can spilt between the four active land divisions.

We have an average military. Being small we often use hit and run tactics. We try to use diplomacy to avoid fights, but we can defend ourselves. The most famous members of the military are the PteroFliers. They ride armored pterodactyls armed with machine guns, RPG launchers, and anti-air missiles (shoulder-mounted kind). They excel at hit-and-run and surprise raids. To sum up our military: Pterodactyls with machine guns.

1). People who say their military is great at everything, or is the best in the world, or has an excessive list of things they do well is too full of themselves. Their arrogance will be their downfall.
