Mr Wilson, Parochial Church Council (PCC) Member, and chess extrodinaire, is the tactical strategist for the Village. While his skills have never been needed in a strict military sense, he regularly advises Villagers on how best to lay out their fields, and even explained the idea of crop rotation to them. Before, they'd assumed crop rotation was driving on a roundabout on your way back from the garden center. However, his intuition for tactics have improved Johz in many more ways, including creating a rota-creation algorithm. This is widely used, and has vastly modernised the way Johz runs.

In his spare time, Mr Wilson plays chess, sometimes against himself, although he says this is quite hard because he never knows if he is bluffing or not. He is sure that one day he will be the next Mrs Figgis, and has already bought the floral dress that appears to accompany the role.

The original Prince Charming, a suave, cool, handsome young man, Master Prince is almost certainly going to become a lawyer, drive three half-million pound Mercedes, and dine nightly on caviar. From the age of seven it had become apparent that Master Prince was going to be successful, and from then on it was just a matter of which proffession he chose. In the end, the law caught his eye, with it's links to the dark criminal underworld, celebrity status among peers, and, of course, the women.

In all respects, Master Prince is a child prodigy. He could read by the time he was three, and was racing through Dostoevsky by the age of seven. The Lord of the Rings trilogy was a minor digression when he was eight, and he re-read them at the age of nine in the Elvish tongue. His other talents include a gift for all sorts of music, an artistry demonstrating wisdom beyond his years, and, for some quite inexplicable reason, comedy. Indeed, Master Prince soon started attending the Village comedy club, and is now a regular performer. He knows that comedy will never make him the big bucks, but, well, it's never bad to keep yourself in practise.

As there is no sheriff in the Village, I had to modify this one slightly. I hope you don't mind.

The Village of Johz is most certainly a ruffian-free zone, and that is almost certainly entirely to do with the work of Mr Halta, freelance sheriff and general all-round Amurkan. His principle skills are his ability with a gun, and his smart attitude, the two of which he combines to create an attitude that would have been snapped up by Hollywood, had they been able to purchase an actual attitude. Currently they are working on doing so.

The Villagers' emotions over Mr Halta generally consist of pride, and gratefullness. Indeed, without him, there would almost certainly be ruffians galore, whatever a ruffian is. It certainly sounds bad enough that the Village pays Mr Halta on a permanent temporary contract.

Robotics is to many people a technical subject, that requires intelligence, but not so much appreciation for art and beauty. Mr Raghujan does not subscribe to this train of thought. His creations, while functional, are works of art both inside and out, with circuit boards designed to produce deep swirling patterns, and the structure of the creation built with beauty as the formost inspiration. Mr Raghujan is not so much an engineer as an artist.

His hobbies, were they the hobbies of a normal robotics engineer, would seem jarring, but on Mr Raghujan they seem to complement his work perfectly. Surrounding him as he works and in his home life are many different surrealist paintings, ranging from the beautious oddities of Dalvador Sali, to the crisp square patterns of some less well-known artists. There is always some sort of music on, and it is never processed. Sometimes electronic or synthesised, but never processed.

Miss Hunter, at age 34, is a very confident sort of person. She keeps her mind stimulated, her body exercised, and her relationships simple. She enjoys her work, particularly the odd aspects of it, where she has to think about situations. While she doesn't get too much work at the local A&E-cum-GP-cum-pharmacist, she certainly gets some unusual cases, such as the time Arnold managed to remove his own appendix, bruise it, then put it back in. At least, that was the only explanation they could come up with.

She also belongs to the local amateur dramatics club, and performs in most of their many performances over the year. Her favourite characters are the darker ones because she feels there is so much to play with.

Keen, young and happy, Mr Halvorsen almost single-handedly produced the traffic flow system in the Village, as well as all of the roadsigns and traffic symbols. His work with computer graphics is fast becoming a major export of the Village, and he enjoys this work, always going the extra mile (unintentional pun) to make sure his designs are perfect. In his spare time, the little of it that he has, Mr Halvorsen fiddles with the cars and bikes that he keeps in his garage.

His love of powered transportation started at a young age, and he has enjoyed his vehicles all his life. While tractors might be fun for some people, Mr Halvorsen prefers it if there is a little more speed in the wheels, and so is currently saving up for a top-of-the-range supercar. For many people this could be considered a mid-life crisis, but a mid-life crisis for Mr Halvorsen would probably involve either bicycles or horses. And he hopes to God he never has to have one.

No-one is entirely sure why the Capisarian government needed to have a permanent diplomatic presence in the Village of Johz. But then again, no-one has ever minded Monsieur Moreau's presence. He is a likeable character, fairly good looking, quite strong, and fairly intelligent to go with it. He has an unnofficial and probably completely illegal job working in the local school teaching politics and computer science, and also chairs a local debating society, where topics have been debated such as 'This House Believes the Moon is Probably a Cheap Replica'.

Monsieur Moreau's placement in the Village was originally only meant to be temporary, but, after finding himself beginning to like the Johzians, he convinced his boss to let him stay on a more permanent basis. He has never understood Mr Newman's hated of the Johzians, and often tells him that he has the luckiest job in the world. Mr Newman usually just laughs, then returns to drowning his sorrows in water.

In the center of the Village is a small hillock called the Mound. It is said that, once upon a time, when the surroundings were trees, fairies danced around the Mound, and could grant wishes and the like. These days, the Village Idiot sits on it. The current Idiot is a Mr Kaezarazwud, who isn't very clever. Indeed, when his classmates were solving second-order differential equations, Mr Kaezarazwud was trying to count his fingers and arriving at the result 16. While a few extras here and there are not too unusual in the Village, 16 was most definitely the wrong answer.

The Idiot's latest trick is, if he puts one finger really close to his eye, to be able to see through it. For some reason this only works if both eyes are working, but he seems to think this is because the invisibility of a finger depends on whether your eye is open or closed. He once read War and Peace, but it was the picturebook version, and he didn't understand it.

So there was talk of an RP based on the characters created, and I liked that talk, so let's do it.

The plot: The Village of Johz has been struck by a terrible disease. The entire country has been put into quarantine - no going in, no going out. Together, along with the help of a friendly team of scientists trapped outside, they must protect and save each other, and hopefully find a cure before the deaths start piling up.

Characters: All yours! Any character for whom I have written a bio is guaranteed entry to the RP. Using your own idea and my interpretations, put yourself in the shoes of your authentic Johzian character and get stuck in. And, for a limited time only, Johzians created after this point will also be eligible for inclusion in the RP, until the point where the RP is too involved.

Entry: Free! Just TG me that you wish to RP, and I'll make an easy-reference list at the start of the IC thread for people to work off. That will make it easier for people.

Location: All action must take place within the Village, on account of the quarantine. To make this easier I will produce, somehow, a map, for when the IC goes up. Hopefully by tomorrow.

Uncle-ish

At 83, Mr Monstrom comfortably sits in the large 'older person' age bracket of the Village. Nonetheless, he turns up to work every day, to bake bread, cakes, tarts and pastries for the Villagers. His shop, a humble but busy affair, is one of the major food outlets of the Village. It is said time in the bakery can be measured solely by the dusting of Mr Monstrom's hat, a favourite pastime of his. A dust takes up a good few minutes, and is a careful affair that keeps the floppy brim in perfect condition.

Mr Monstrom also enjoys karaoke, the ancient far-eastern art of making a fool of yourself while slightly tipsy. His karaoke machine is often called in to various events, especially the weekly karaoke night at the Green Olive Arms. This habit of his has earned him the title of general slightly embarassing, but much-loved uncle, a role he relishes.

Mr Reddford, army medic and general all-round barber-surgeon, is a very quick sort of bloke, with sharp features that reflect his sharp personality. He likes cars, especially their maintenence, to the point that to see cars covered in rust on people's drives causes him almost physical pain. He also enjoys hunting, for which he visits the local Thinistern countryside to shoot foxes and the like.

His other favourite hobby is drawing, and he always has some pencils and a sketchbook to hand. He is extremely good, and can capture the essence of something in just a few strokes of his pencil, given that they are very long strokes bordering more on lines. He has produced a gallery of his artwork, mainly sketches, but a few watercolours as well, focusing on the lives of the people he meets in his medical day-job, which met with much appraisal.

If there is one thing that Ms Harrington-Smythe doesn't like them, it is poor people. Of course, in moderation, and kept far enough away, they're probably quite nice people, but not near her, please. They'd just get in the way of all the socialising that Ms Harrington-Smythe spends most of her time doing, sometimes even while playing croquet. Ms Harrington-Smythe will accept their presence when, for example, she decides to go shopping, but only on the condition that they are servile enough and don't butt in.

Ms Harrington-Smythe is also rather a fan of the boys, or at least a fan of the boys that are a fan of her, which is most of them. She generally has a string of them, some noble boys from neighbouring countries, following her around, of which at least two she is currently having a relationship with.
