Introduction to Nuvalia
Founded in the 12th century with the original creation of the Russian Empire. Nuvalia today is the successor of two former states. The Democratic Republic of Nuvalia after breaking away from the USSR, and the Republic of Nuvalia after separating from the Russian Federation.
Nuvalia achieved it's first independence from the USSR after a bloody civil war that lasted 20 years. Democratic ideas sprang up and sought to oust the oppressive ideals of communism. USSR Forces quickly entered Nuvalia and sacked the capital Moskva within with 2 months. Despite the loss of the Capital Moskva rebels kept fighting. They received immense financing and support in the laters years of the war from the NATO powers which briskly helped turn the tide. In the 1973 Offensive Nuvalian Rebels with financial and materiel support from NATO rebels retook the capital. Moscow threatened Nuclear War and Moskva responded with the same threat. Fortunately Nuclear Holocaust was avoided and a Peace Treaty in the border town Irkutsk was signed in 1980.
The Second Independence of Nuvalia was from the Russian Federation in 2000. Nuvalia petitioned the State Duma for it's re-independence but was steadfastly rejected. The Republic once again made a call to arms; the republic activated it's home guard and seized all Russian military installations in state. Russia mobilized it's forces to seize the State in Insurrection and arrest it's government. Nuvalia was more able to defend itself this time. It had huge sums of materiel dumps to be activated in case the Chinese ever tried to sack the resource rich region. Nuvalia resisted Russian Forces and lost considerable amounts of territory. Eventually the Duma made an offer for Peace which was accepted by the new Chancellor of Nuvalia and again signed in the bordertown Irkutsk in the Grand Tsar Hotel.
Today's Empire of Nuvalia was formed out the people's resistance to communist ideas. Communist ideas were growing in Parliament which threatened the stability of the state, threatened liberties of people, and threatened the state of democracy. MP's assisted by supporting Military stormed the government buildings in a hundred sub-sectors in Nuvalia. The Chancellor was attacked during an emergency session of Parliament, leaving him scarred and deformed. He ordered the military to kill any rebels, and subsequently announced the Declaration of a New Order to safeguard the rights of the People.
Geography

It land area is approx 9,098,242 sq km and it's total martime area is 170,000 sq km. The Nuvalian terrain is largely unnoticed except in the 13% of the land that isn't urbanized. Nuvalia's highest Natural peak is Mount Tsar at 18,029 feet. Siberia is Nuvalia coldest region and least populated with only 100,000 people. Eastern Nuvalia has plains, canyons, hills, and lakes. Nuvalia rarely experiences Hurricane activity but thunderstorms do roll over the country quite often. Nuvalia is the 4th largest country in the world.
Politics
Government
Nuvalia is a Empire with two ruling bodies. The Emperor and the Parliament of Nuvalia. The Emperor is the commander in chief of the Armed Forces and may declare war, make peace, sign treaties, and make agreements. The Emperor aside from other duties, he can dissolve Parliament and elect Governor-Generals to the 7 Sectors of the Empire and several other territories. The Parliament of Nuvalia is elected every 4 years and is largely an advisory body. They to have some powers though; they can delay the time in which a law becomes active, they may amend or override and law or declaration made by the Emperor with a 70% agreement.
Foreign Relations
The Empire retains warm relations with many other governments around the world. Nuvalia is not apart of the World Assembly. Nuvalia participates in Peacekeeping and Humanitarian Missions around the world. Nuvalia is a strong advocate of Regional Trade Blocs and Scientific Advancement. Nuvalia is currently engaged in multiple territorial disputes with it's neighbors but it working hardly to resolve them through diplomatic means. Nuvalia has given billions in aid throughout it's lifetime, it ranks 23 in the top 50 "most giving nations".
Military
Nuvalia maintains and extraordinarily small military relative to it's population. Therefore the government of the former Republic of Nuvalia has ordered the military to modernize in 10 years time. The Emperor being the former Chancellor of Nuvalia has kept this program alive and boosted it's funding. Currently Nuvalia's military is 60% percent automated and the goal is for 80% automation by 2026. The Navy is to be 90% automated, the Airforce 60% the Army 40% and the Space Forces need to be 60% automated. This allows for a numerically larger military by a factor of 5, a technology superior force, a smarter one, efficient, and versatile force. Nuvalia's military is indeed the best conventional force in the world.
Nuvalia is engaged in multiple territorial disputes in case diplomacy fails the Imperial Guard will be there to secure the integrity of Nuvalia and show the world we defend our ideals. The Guard is engaged in missions around the world, from protecting the assets of our corporations in threatened areas, to providing security in space on Cosdrome the Imperial Guard is committed to serving the Emperor and his people.
Economy
Agriculture
Nuvalia is a nation that is 87% percent urbanized. Our buildings reach into the heavens and dig deep the core of the planet. While this is certainly impressive Nuvalia has encountered many food shortages and this is unacceptable for a nation of our stature. with the remaining 13% preserved for National Enjoyment engineers had little options. So they used what Nuvalia was truly plentiful of. Vertical Farms was the solution entire building could be dedicated to food production. Based on technology called hydroponics, engineers were able to grow Nuvalia produces 9,331,000 tonnes in meat a year feeding the livestock with processed plant remains, and uses the manure to supplement the plant diet. Nuvalia produces 20,190,457 tonnes a year.
Energy
Nuvalia is one of the world's cleaning countries. Despite it's massive amount of urban growth. The Country imposes massive carbon taxes numbering thousands per ton(just in energy production). This has prompted greener generation so companies will receive a massive tax break which in turn helps to make it cheaper. Solar-power is the most popular, but wind, hydro, and geo-thermal produce hundreds of millions joules a year. Nuvalia is currently experimenting with Helium-3.
Transport
Nuvalia boast world class infrastructure, it's ports are massive, it's airports are modern, it's streets and grids are smart. High speed rail is widely popular, and civilians can just go about anywhere in the country with relative ease. in the 2003 Space Age Act the government order all infrastructure be torn down and rebuilt to be smart, aesthetically pleasing, made to last at least 100 years. The cost was enormous and the economy tanked for about 5 years. Eventually the project was completed and the new infrastructure made doing business cheaper, faster, and efficient. Without the '03 SA Act, Nuvalia would not be what it is today.
Science and Technology
Science aside from commerce is Nuvalia's largest industry. The government pours trillions of rouble into education and science a year. Nuvalia was the first nation to automatize it's military past 10% and is very competitive in beating out other nations in scientific achievement. In 2036 Nuvalia will have completed the world's first Lunar Base dedicated to the development of the Lunar surface. The Emperor cabinet is largely filled by technocrats. Science is indeed Nuvalia's most important field.
