Our Answers

Are casinos legal in your country? Yes

If they are legal:
At what age may a citizen go to one? 15
At what age may a citizen gamble at one? 18
At what age may a citizen work at one? 18
Are casinos on cruise ships permitted to be open while within your nation's territorial waters, if any? Yes, if they are at least 5 miles/8.047 km off coast.
May alcoholic beverages, such as wine, be served at casinos in your nation? If so, do casinos charge for it? Only at bars within casinos, to those that are 18 or above. Yes, they do charge for it.
Are casinos allowed to advertise on television? If so, are there any restrictions as to when they may advertise on television? Yes. No.
Is anyone free to open a casino in your nation? If not, what are the restrictions? No, only Native Alevians may do so. Lawmakers are currently debating the option of changing this.
Are there any facts that you wish to say about the casinos in your nation (Their condition, what most people think of them, etc.)? Most casinos are not considered the classiest in appearance, externally, that is. Many could asily be mistaken for shady warehouses by looking at the outside. Although the inside isn't always impressive either, it is, more often than not, surprisingly better than the outside. About 5/10 people are reluctant to going to casinos. Roughly 3/10 people are completely opposed to them. Most casinos also double as hotels.

Are casinos legal in your country? well they're perfect legal, but

If they are legal:
At what age may a citizen go to one? age based restrictions are almost as unconstitutional in cameroi as are bans on possession of anything.
At what age may a citizen gamble at one? as above
At what age may a citizen work at one? as above
Are casinos on cruise ships permitted to be open while within your nation's territorial waters, if any? well, would be if any, yes, though, as we're almost completely landlocked, there aren't
May alcoholic beverages, such as wine, be served at casinos in your nation? they MAY, but ... Do casinos charge for it? i suppose they could if they existed, but ...
Are casinos allowed to advertise on television? one way mass media is an alien concept on lananara, that does not appeal to a culture of creativity.
If so, are there any restrictions as to when they may advertise on television? N/A
Is anyone free to open a casino in your nation? eyeeees, if they can figgure out how. If not, what are the restrictions? you mean aside from the nature of our culture and economy?
Are there any facts that you wish to say about the casinos in your nation (Their condition, what most people think of them, etc.)? only that the closest thing to them is something called an untavern, which is more like a restaurant, that has something like video game consoles built into the tables, and a separate room for people to play live shared tie up sex games. sometimes they have another separate room for a model railroad club. it's just that "the dream" isn't actually a currency as such, it means instead what it says, people dreaming their own limitless diversity of dreams. so there aren't actually anything exactly like a casino as such, there isn't any law against them, its just that our culture doesn't create much, if any, of a market for them.
truth isn't what i say. isn't what you say. isn't what anybody says. truth is what is there, when no one is saying anything.

"economic freedom" is "the cake"

Are casinos legal in your country? Yes.

If they are legal:
At what age may a citizen go to one? 18, when a person is considered to be an adult.
At what age may a citizen gamble at one? 18.
At what age may a citizen work at one? Depends on the policy of the casino, but the minimum is around 14 years.
Are casinos on cruise ships permitted to be open while within your nation's territorial waters, if any? There are no casinos on cruise ships.
May alcoholic beverages, such as wine, be served at casinos in your nation? Do casinos charge for it? Yes, depending on the casino.
Are casinos allowed to advertise on television? If so, are there any restrictions as to when they may advertise on television? Yes. Restrictions are no different from other advertisements.
Is anyone free to open a casino in your nation? If not, what are the restrictions? Yes, but it's rare.
Are there any facts that you wish to say about the casinos in your nation (Their condition, what most people think of them, etc.)? Romalae is not a huge gambling center, but there are a few casinos. Most citizens look down upon them, and understand that the odds of gambling are not in their favor. Still, the few casinos do get a decent amount of business.

Are casinos legal in your country? Absolutely

If they are legal:
At what age may a citizen go to one? High school graduation (typically age 17 or 18) or 21, whichever comes first.
At what age may a citizen gamble at one? As above.
At what age may a citizen work at one? As above.
Are casinos on cruise ships permitted to be open while within your nation's territorial waters, if any? Absolutely.
May alcoholic beverages, such as wine, be served at casinos in your nation? Do casinos charge for it? Absolutely. Charges are dependent on location and products sold; tax laws must be respected.
Are casinos allowed to advertise on television? If so, are there any restrictions as to when they may advertise on television? Absolutely, advertising is legal. There is no watershed.
Is anyone free to open a casino in your nation? If not, what are the restrictions? Certainly not, all casinos require a license and no less than 1,000,000Ɵ (approx. 2.17 million NS$) in funds. They may only be built on land that is zoned for commercial purposes. Prospective founders must have a clean criminal record, especially with regards to drug and white collar crime.
Are there any facts that you wish to say about the casinos in your nation (Their condition, what most people think of them, etc.)? Casinos are seen as a novelty and, by some segments, a kitschy tourist trap. Though upscale casinos offer tasteful luxury hospitality, class, and professionalism, the majority of casinos are loud, crass, and a place to waste college savings. Tourists are a major source of gamblers; society has no qualms about exploiting this. Gambling addictions are not a major problem in Yasashii, though all casinos and lotteries must pay into a national rehabilitation scheme.

Casinos are seen as an entertainment business like any other, no different from theaters, athletic centers, or arcades. As far as the reputation of entertainment businesses go, they are generally viewed positively and seen as a better form of entertainment than many. After all, you have a CHANCE of getting your money back. SOME chance of getting your money back beats the NO chance of getting your money back that other entertainments offer.

Are casinos legal in your country? No.

Private gambling however is legal - giving credit though is not. This is to allow the one or other entertaining friendly game without incriminating someone for it.

Are casinos legal in your country? No, except on cruise ships in territorial waters.

If they are legal:

At what age may a citizen go to one? No restriction
At what age may a citizen gamble at one? 18
At what age may a citizen work at one? No restriction, other than general prohibitions against child labor
Are casinos on cruise ships permitted to be open while within your nation's territorial waters, if any? Yes, provided that neither the port of departure or the port of distination are located within our borders. Also, casinos may not operate while the ship is docked.
May alcoholic beverages, such as wine, be served at casinos in your nation? Do casinos charge for it? Yes, it is up the the individual cruse line whether to charge for it.
Are casinos allowed to advertise on television? If so, are there any restrictions as to when they may advertise on television? Athough casinos are not legal within Beringovia, it actually is legal for foreign casinos to advertise on Beringovian television without restrictuion.
Is anyone free to open a casino in your nation? If not, what are the restrictions? No. As mentioned, casinos are only permitted on cruise ships.
Are there any facts that you wish to say about the casinos in your nation (Their condition, what most people think of them, etc.)? A few years ago an entrepeneur set up a floating casino on a converted cruise ship just outside of territorial waters off our coast. It didn't get enough patrons to stay in business long.

Are casinos legal in your country? Yes

If they are legal:
At what age may a citizen go to one? No restrictions

At what age may a citizen work at one? 18 for full time employment, 14 for part-time employment.
Are casinos on cruise ships permitted to be open while within your nation's territorial waters, if any? Yes
May alcoholic beverages, such as wine, be served at casinos in your nation? Do casinos charge for it? Of course they may. In some casinos you have to pay for them, in some they are free.
Are casinos allowed to advertise on television? If so, are there any restrictions as to when they may advertise on television? There are no ads on our television.
Is anyone free to open a casino in your nation? If not, what are the restrictions? The restrictions are the same as with any other business,.
Are there any facts that you wish to say about the casinos in your nation (Their condition, what most people think of them, etc.)? There are very few casinos in the Voerdish Free State, as people here prefere gambling in traditional saloons (think of the RL American Wild West).
