Citizens may travel outside the country, but they can't leave permanently. It used to be allowed, but then there was some big thing with a country going to war and a bunch of our emigrated citizens getting caught in the middle. They wanted our military to rescue them. We did of course, but decided it would be better to avoid similar situations in the future.

No national regulation on immigration or emigration. Some communities may not be so lax. However, most people also have the means to leave regardless of that and are often successful.

Sure, any Samurai are free to leave, they're free to come back. Why would we forbid them of that freedom?

Even northern Daimyô Masamune Date (from the fief of Oshû in the northern island of Kai) lived abroad for some time.

If there is an approved contract for their services in another country, of course our human resources are able to leave our borders to fulfill that contract.

If you fill-out the right Immigration forms, (30 per Person) give IPIA (Imperial Patriotism and Immigration Authority) at least a month to process the paperwork and have a valid Passport chip, You're free to go on your way.

unarmed civilians are perfectly welcome to come and go across our borders at any time, at any point, in any direction they blessed well wish.

this is the one right the planetary government of the world (lananara) on which cameroi is located, over-rides more localized authority to insure.
as a nation we also insure the right of anyone to leave anyplace they don't like to say within cameroi as well.

anyone wearing a uniform and carrying a weapon are another matter entirely and "other restrictions may apply".
truth isn't what i say. isn't what you say. isn't what anybody says. truth is what is there, when no one is saying anything.

No. Everyone is required to stay in the country. We have a barb wire fence 2 km high, which is higher than palace, and the barb wire fence goes arond the entire top of the nation so people can't climb it. Under the floor, it is all stainless steel and goes down all the way and covers the bottom of the nation so people can't tunnel out. The fence is electric, 25 kila wats, and once the leader finds someone trying to tunnel out, she fills the hole so s/he gets trapped...

People can travel to other nation's from any Gretonian airport if they have an passport, an visa from another nation(or some other proof of approval to travel), and cannot be on the Black List which restricts travel to other nations. Also any person awaiting trial in Greto cannot travel to other countries, though people that are citizens of other nations can travel back to they're nation at anytime.

In theory, though whether there are many countries still willing to accept Beddgelen migrants or even tourists is perhaps another matter.

Though legal, emigration from the Igovian Soviet Commonwealth is not particularly attractive for many citizens due to the usually non-convertible nature of Soviet currency, which means that émigrés arrive penniless at their destination. Those wishing to leave for tourism purposes are able to apply for foreign currency, which may then be purchased from the national reserve at an artificial rate likely to be above the estimated exchange rate, thus amounting to a de facto tax on exiting the country. Outward-bound migrants prepared to send home remittances from work abroad are also catered for, often on somewhat more generous terms.
